Oscar 2.0 is here!

Bean Upgrade!

And an additional puppy belly!

Oscars new model is also bigger, his old smaller model caused issues when playing. I found making a level based around Billie and her move set, made everything MASSIVE for such a tiny lad. Additionally he couldn't run very fast due to his little legs.

BIG BOY

High polygon version of Oscar, as his wings aren't fully ready yet.


Reference Sheets

Our current plan in development is to get every single character modelled and rigged for the game before the programming infrastructure is ready for block outs. These are turn arounds used to help sculpt the characters. Tracing the character in 3D from all angles (we have a lot of characters so I've been quite busy!)

AI Lip Sync to the Rescue!

Using a plugin we now have automated lip sync, the results are...fairly passable! It will work well for overworld conversation (as we have a lot of talking in this game) but we will continue to animate the lip-sync by hand for cutscenes or songs.

Sam did our voice work for Aristotle here, for scratch audio. Ash played Billie (badly because they were laughing a lot) but thankfully, its all temp.


Dutch's Resort

More concepts for Dutch's resort! Mostly focused on the airport area and the bird racing tracks.

Race tracks are based on each biome of the resort, ride the big birdy and platform. Just to make a note, race tracks are optional! I personally don't like racing but a few of our devs do, so I've let them lead the charge on the mechanics and design.

Speaking of Dutch, his rig is ready for action and fully textured!

Aristotle's Tent

I'm slowly set dressing the tent area for Aristotle (along with exploring destructable meshes)

We saved the best for last, we have a new test build coming fairly soon, due to the nature of our work this will be a brand new testing map arena to try new or updated mechanics
