State of the Writer for 2020 (Patreon)

Hey there! Happy New Year, everyone!

Despite all the life speed bumps I had in 2019, I still managed to write over 210,000 words. Not too shabby!

On the other hand, because of those speed bumps, there were way too many days I didn't write at all. In 2018, I only skipped about 50 days. In 2019, I skipped closer to 200.

What does this mean for me in the new year? Well, January 1st, 2020 is the perfect time to turn over a new leaf! My goal is to try to write at least a little every single day, to keep the habit going, like I did for most of 2018. I know from experience that sometimes I'm just like, "Ugh, not today," but then if I sit down and write a couple hundred words... it often gets me into the groove, and blammo, suddenly I'm at 1000 words without even noticing it! I should always try. After all, 250 words is infinitely more than 0 words.

What should you expect from this? More writing from me! Some of you may have noticed that a handful of months this year were lacking in new rough and/or final drafts. I fully intend to correct that in the coming year. I'm hoping to reach a steady monthly pattern of 3+ final drafts, 3+ rough drafts, and the 3 month Patreon exclusive. This should be doable starting sometime during Q1 2020, and then I would do my best to keep it up.

No promises on exact numbers, but all forms of encouragement (such as kind words, nice headpats, and surprise living latex gifts) are totally welcome. <3
