You know my first watch through I didn't like Dawn and that was with no influence from any Buffy community. But not surprising because I generally not a fan of kids to begin with. However, I've noticed the more I watch the show the more I like her. She's sweet, thoughtful, brave and intelligent. She is annoying at times but given the craziness she has had to deal with at a young age it's pretty impressive that she's as awesome as she is. I'm firmly on team Dawn love now.

This is such a great episode 🤌🤌. I absolutely adore your enthusiasm about this show ❤. I watched this series when it was first airing in my teens and now revisiting it and watching new generations react to it and still be relatable just shows how awesome this show is

I know there was a large part of the fandom who hated Dawn (people seem to have come around to her over the years though) but I genuinely feel for her here. I have no idea how I would act had I just found out that everything about myself was fake, that all of my memories were fabricated. In all honesty, I think Dawn is handling it way better than I would lmao. ESPECIALLY at 14. I always get chills at the two big angsty scenes this episode--the initial "Is this blood?" part and where Dawn screams for Buffy and their mom to get out. I think Michelle Trachtenberg is a great actress but I think her real talent is very much highlighted when having to portray overwhelming emotions. God, can't believe this is already over the halfway point for season 5! Very much always looking forward to your reactions to the rest. Watching them on Tuesday and Friday is the first thing I do when I get out of bed in the morning to sit at my desk lol
