I don’t know why this is what I took away from the reaction, lol - Willow and Giles are not actually putting all the books on the internet! They’re just scanning them to have on a hard drive somewhere. It was a funny little window of time, when the “computer age” was in full swing but cloud computing hadn’t happened yet, so you digitized all your documents and kept them on an external hard drive.

i love how this episode starts with Buffy being *restless*.... (this episode is weird tho, and in no way representative of the quality of season 5 !!)

I think this episode is high quality, just different and really campy. I wouldn't like it if they did this kind of thing all the time but they really seemed to like pushing the envelope and experimenting with different things and Camp is a legitimate style. One thing I really like about this premiere is that for once Buffy is in a pretty good place emotionally when the season starts. I mean, don't get me wrong, I also like the season premieres in which she's dealing with the trauma of the preceding finale (like in seasons two and three), but this makes for a refreshing change haha

It took me a while to warm up to this episode but as a season premier, I like it a lot now. It shows Buffy's daily slayer life, really fun interactions between all of the characters, and has some fun vampire cheese. A very solid all-rounder :) That scene with Giles and Buffy at the end always gets me. I love how you just threw the tissues behind your shoulder :D I love season 5 and am excited for you to see it!

Yeah we actually get to see her in a normal environment. Season 1 and 4 were her starting school again, season 2 was dealing with trauma from killing the master, and season 3 was her running away. This episode is like- she's having fun on the beach? Whaat?? :D

OMG I love watching reactors watch that last scene. The confusion is great! I'm surprised no one trolled you 'of course Buffy has a sister... don't you remember last season when....' Or maybe people have had their fun on that already with other reactors...
