New Kidnapping System (Patreon)

I’m thinking on how to improve the kidnapping/fighting system. I want a system that’s easy to understand and doesn’t require tons of coding. I’ve received a few suggestions about integrating some cards into the system, maybe do something like Poker or like Magic the Gathering. Here’s a concept, let me know if it makes sense:
- When you start a fight, you and your opponent receive 7 random cards.
- The suits for the cards are Brute Force, Domination & Sneakiness. Rock-Paper-Scissor.
- The number on the card is random, it goes from 1 to your maximum stat in BDS.
- Your cards and your opponent cards are always visible, so you can plan your attack & defense.
- You and your opponent pick a card at the same time, the rock-paper-scissor battle goes on normally: Willpower will be lost & restraints will be applied.
- The card used by both players are ditched, giving less options in the next attack.
- At any time, instead of picking a card, the player or opponent can choose “Meditate” to draw a new set of 7 cards. Dropping all cards that were not used, and probably losing some willpower from the opponent attack.
- Turn flows like that until someone reaches 0 willpower. Like it does right now.
Do you think it would make battles more interesting? Do you have other ideas? Thanks a lot.
