As I discuss at the end I definitely know where I stand with him now, I think lool. I'm not his defender but the evidence and media isn't showing that he's the villain speculation has magnified him out to be.

Also as others have a discussed, a young flawed attractive man overly sexualised by his company was bound to develop a complex and be toxic lool. If he has learned his lesson and is going to atone, I trust him way MORE than idols we know nothing about because they're sure up to the same and worse behind the scenes but just haven't been caught yet.

Cos how it looks to me, IF the worst of the rumours were true, SM would've dropped him without missing a heartbeat, screw the Chinese market cos I don't think he'll be successful there anyway. It also explains why the translations can be vague, maybe he's not even aware of some of the rumours that were out there so won't verify. They wouldn't do all this to an idol that's guilty, especially one who's non-Korean.

That's where I'm at. I just wish things were more transparent but if someone is trying to apologise, what else do we want? Don't we want them to have a chance to prove they've changed and grown? Otherwise there are no second chances for any of us.

My thoughts on this are similar to yours. I think he did stuff that would be barely noticed in Western pop (slept around, behaved like a d***). I don't see criminal behavior. Its just that these actions completely went against his idol image of the perfect boyfriend, so his hiatus was inevitable. But then, I'm a guy and I like lots of toxic artists, so my judgement is different. I can see many fans are a lot angrier than me. Overall, I think his career can be salvaged. Because I see the anger but there's also attention and indifference is what actually kills careers. SM has to do better than these documentaries though if they are serious about reviving his career. These are simply not good enough
