This was the best one yet for sure!

Everyone brought their A-game and honestly I just felt like i have to revisit this song to catch all these little vocal moments I may have missed, they put so much work in to it!!

Enjoy!

Ayy always love the Red Velvet content. Pretty sure the producer with them in the studio making all the jokes is Kim Minjee also known as Mingtion. She’s also the main composer for Queendom. In their 2 episode reality show where they interview and cook for their staff, you get to know her better and they ask her things like how she came up with the melody for the song (queendom)

Tim Nguyen

Mingtion is one of my favorite SM producers. She's also admitted she's a huge Red Velvet fan so you can see their chemistry. Other notable songs she's wrote or worked on are NCT - From Home, Queendom and When The Rain Stops. My favorite bit in this is Wendy harmonizing her runs 3-4 times.

OHH she's written some hits! Yea that bit really impressed me cos it's such a quick run.

New subscriber here so hello! Red Velvet's commitment to their vocals is great to see in an industry which doesn't prioritize it as much. They sound great here, but having watched the Chill Kill recording recently, the improvement is so noticeable for me. I just respect that.

Red Velvet's recording behinds are always my favorite, because we really get to see the song take shape and how much they contribute to make the song! I know that SM groups tend to take part in background vocals a lot more than other groups, but RV is still unique in the sense that they do almost all of the background vocals themselves. In NCT for example it's mostly Doyoung and Taeil as far as I know, beside the "normal" (at least for SM) harmonisation the members do for their lines, and not even for every song. I feel like that's one of the reasons their tracks are always so uniquely Red Velvet, because of the richness and sound of their voices - even if you can't hear every little thing while casually listening. Seeing all the work and thought they put in also makes me appreciate the songs so much more. Like Queendom and Birthday were more on the okay-ish side for me (while I still enjoyed the songs I didn't vibe with them 100%), but the recording behind made me re-listen more closely and now I like the songs much more. Oh, and the producer minGtion is so great! Like the others said you can learn a bit more about her (and the rest of RV's team) in the short but great variety show Queendom Restaurant. She also worked with Jaehyun on his solo music, helping with the arrangement of his song "Lost", as well as his "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" cover.
