The way this is their BEST album to date blew me away!

The growth in vocals, vocal production and even the general musical direction was a genuine surprise that pleased me greatly lol.

Sweet Venom is the weakest link for sure, way too generic on an album that feels more unique otherwise.

Enjoy!

Sweet Venom is light because they aren't vampires anymore. I guess that was their thinking behind Sweet Venom song. So it's supposed to be a happier comeback. Sweet Venom makes me want to dance, so I love it. Also, they are getting more promos in the U.S. with Sweet Venom than past title tracks. The English version has different lyrics than the Korean version as well. Also, Jay wrote some lyrics for Sweet Venom, which was nice.

I actually thought this album was one of their weaker ones...sweet venom is nice...I kinda wish they saved Chaconne for their next title track

heeseung was SINGING this album, im so happy to hear them pushing his vocals more. I heard somewhere that the producer had him do ad-libs while recording on the spot which is so cool that they're really including him in the creative process as not just a singer but also an artist

Tbh I felt the same way about sweet venom, mostly because of the music video which did not match the tone of the song. It grew on me really bad though!! I love it and it makes me wanna dance. Also everyone's had mixed reactions abt this album but like you said, it's honestly their best sonically/vocally. Super glad u liked the album!!!! <3

Ahh that makes sense. Tbh i'm cool with it being happier but just not soooo safe/short.

Kai Leon

You're right...I'm just salty that Chaconne never got a mv 😭

It's a theme that they are doing on purpose. The Blood series is three parts, so I don't think a bridge is coming back until or after the third series of the Blood series. They mentioned it in an interview for Dark Blood. They purposely stopped doing bridges during Blessed-Cursed.

appreciate your reaction! I also am sooo glad to hear the adlibs turned up a little more this comeback and the backing vocals were spot on imo. heeseung was doing his thing fr (someone separated the backing vocals for still monster and it's literally heeseung all throughout the song loll https://x.com/02nov15/status/1725675535756578899?s=20). sweet venom is def my least favorite although I don't hate it. I wish mortal was a full song :( these spoken intros are starting to be my enemy lolll i wish they'd give us a full version of the intro songs minus narration as like an extra track or something

I feel seen for the title, I love them and not a bad song but maybe it’s just how short these title tracks are, like where is the rest of the song? I’ve been definitely listening to bsides of this song more.

This album is brighter than Dark Blood, in my opinion, and they have a lot more vocals. I highly recommend watching their Japanese song performance of "BLOSSOM" on CDTV.

Heeseung is all over this album. I'm so glad they have him doing more bvs and adlibs. It's reminiscent of they had Jungkook in their earlier albums. In my opinion, he's the only real improvement vocally and was already the most promising from debut. Jungwoon is alright too.

Koko3op

Oooo yeahh it being a full version would've been interesting. Those backing vocals are so nice!

When i heard the teaser for sweet venom i was so excited, but I feel the same I'm pretty disappointed in it that the entire teaser is the whole song just over and over. It's too repetitive. First verse is great and then the chorus okay cool... then the second verse is the exact same no rap or melody switch up? And then when u get to the bridge it's one line?? I'm so sad bc there was so much lost potential bc they are so talented to squash that with a 2 min song.

Still Monster is what you get when you give Heeseung free reign to do whatever he wanted to do with the adlibs. He brought it!
