My unhinged mood continues lool today was a weird day!

NOW I'm super glad I did this cos this album is a strong return to form with LUSCIOUS harmonies and surprise chords that you don't expect which made me enjoy songs I wouldn't normally love, love.

Got a couple of new songs I enjoy which I'm very happy about.

I'm so proud of myself for doing this in time for the new album!

I agree that Remember Forever has Christmas vibes! There was a Vox video about what makes a Christmassy sound that got taken down, but I did find an article quoting it: “I count at least 13 distinct chords at work in ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You,’ resulting in a sumptuously chromatic melody... The song also includes what I consider the most Christmassy chord of all — a minor subdominant, or “iv,” chord with an added 6, under the words ‘underneath the Christmas tree,’ among other places.” As in Irving Berlin’s “White Christmas,” he notes, “the chord comes immediately after a major subdominant chord, giving the effect of a ‘bright’ major subdominant Then, of course, they have a classic Christmas instrumental happening so that doesn't help

Nice! Congrats on catching up in time for their cb. A shame to hear youve already listened to Queendom EP off camera, as thats one of my fav most recent albums from RV but a lot of ppl find it meh so was curious to know your thoughts. Have you listened to the Birthday mini btw? Thats also one of my favourite if not favourite EP from them. Between that and Queendom, its a return to form for me as I wasn't a fan of the festival at all bar a small handful of songs. But I never listen to that project in its entirety like I do their other albums. Btw any plans to react to their concerts or other content now youre done with albums? I've really loved your journey with them :) Even their variety might be a good shout! I think (?) I remember you saying in the past RV are more like colleagues than friends which is a common misunderstanding but it mainly comes down to all 5 of them being big introverts among other things. I think if you watch their variety you'd see theyre more like sisters than friends for better or worse lmao. And by that I mean, I'm not saying that in a delusional stan way, but as someone with 4 sisters i relate to how theyre all extremely different personality wise, the age dynamics are interesting and you can tell they beef sometimes as theyve told us too lol. During Queendom era they had this really sick 2 part series on Youtube where they hosted and cooked for their Team and then interviewed them on their individual jobs while they ate - so make up and hair stylists, choreographer, managers and even their AR/Music team thats been with them for years (their whole team is female btw!). Oooo that sounds like good variety content! I think I'll definitely check it out! And I'm gonna revisit those EP's anyway but just shortened reactions and feedback.

I really like Yeri and wish she had more to do in their songs other than rap and phrases in the adlibs. I agree with her voice almost being too nasally and narrow. It seems like an easy fix. Her voice seemed fuller earlier in their career, specifically around One of these Nights era (The Velvet mini album). Whenever they performed live, she and Irene would hold down the low notes and she seemed to do them in their studio recordings too. I think she sounds not as nasally on Wildside. I always hope every comeback that she has more to do, but they have set roles at this point. It seems like SM doesn't know how to use her best or they could also be shielding her since she often becomes the target of hate for nearly anything she does. She has expressed an interest in doing more (specifically songwriting and producing). Keeping my hopes up for Chill Kill.
