Well .... 

I think a lot of the songs will grow on me but this wasn't the fully fleshed out album I had in my mind. Some of the songs sounded great but some felt rushed and not to the standard of production deserving of a group like EXO. 

Like I said in the end, their vocal production and layerings etc elevated these songs a lot but the production fell short. This doesn't feel like an album SM was fully invested in which is a shame. I really wanted another Day After Day/Obsession/My Turn To Cry. 

On the plus side the songs I didn't like still had moments of greatness thanks to the vocals but overall nothing grabbed me or felt super special besides Let Me In, No Makeup and parts of Private Party.

Yep.. I just felt really underwhelmed. But I will revisit the album maybe a few weeks later to like “forget” the songs n see how I feel then.

My favorite is Hear Me Out. Love it so much and I have been playing it on repeat. I love how chill it is. You can play it anytime of the day and just groove to it.

i just feel that most of the songs lacked depth and they don’t really connect to one another- like you said it feels very rushed and definitely not like a usual EXO album 🥲

this is like the shinee album for me, its okay but nothing stands out except let me in but i still enjoyed it. Idk whats going on with SM lately, the songs arent hitting like they used to.

I mostly agree, I do feel like this is sort of a "we're back, having fun" type of project. I enjoy a lot of the tracks for the most part, and as you said those vocal moments are really amazing and make me want to revisit them.. but some of the production and instrumentals fall short for me as well and I hope that for their next project the company really goes out of their way to give us.. a fully fleshed out ALBUM. Sidenote: I love your reactions especially because you pick out those vocal moments in the forefront and in the background, it's fun to hone onto them when I'm listening on my own. My personal favorites are No Makeup, Let Me In, Another Day (I enjoy bits of Regret It too)

Yeahh I thought that's how they viewed this project too but even having fun songs can be produced way better and thank you! It's my favourite thing about discovering songs and I love it when it's noticed!

I felt apart from the vocals that a lot of their songs lack life or punch. We could just listen to them in the background. They land flat on me. I still enjoyed hearing D.O. and baekhyun. I think overall the parts I disliked the most were the raps they did not do anything for me. I enjoyed to hear chanyeol singing a lot more.

I hope the album will grow on me. I am slightly disappointed so I will leave it for now and might come back to it in a month. Overall I would give it a C.

Yeahh the rap was not doing it for me at all. I hope it grows on me but I'm not in a rush to revisit it tbh.

I think the second half of the album is superior imo with No Make Up being my fave and Let Me In a very close second. I also really, really enjoyed Another Day and Private Party. Hear Me Out is my shit -that's just my type of feel good song and it's been on repeat since they dropped the video. I like the title Cream Soda a lot more now. I never disliked it, it just took a minute to absorb everything like how it started so abruply, but vocally it's so pleasing to hear. After a few album listens (it's been on repeat lol) , Cinderella grew on me. It was really Cinderella and Regret It that didn't quite work for me. Now the only song that still hasn't vibed with me is Regret It. I blame Dem Jointz lol. Overall solid album imo. Is it my fave? Nope. It could've been better but I enjoyed much of it. I give it a B.

It's a great chill summer album, and probably one of their most cohesive. It's a grower though, but it's definitely something that I think will stand the test of time and that has replay value -- especially hear me out, which imo is the best produced track (rich, so many layers). On the other hand, it's obvious SM doesn't want to invest too much in them and would rather save resources for their newer groups. Cinderella's producer said they (SM) "forgot" to add a whole layer of drums that was in the demo, for example.

Fully agree on the album. The guys sound amazing, but the production and overall music direction on this album is kind of all over the place. I mentioned this on the YT but too many songs had intros that were unnecessary b/c they were tonally different from the rest of the song. It also felt like the raps that are usually better integrated into songs were kind of just added in without thought. Like it felt like a few of them were added just to give Sehun something to actually do rather than because they actually enhanced the song. The latter half has more cohesive songs. Let Me In is the best track on the album. From a pure music standpoint, I'd rank No Makeup as 2 but I ABSOLUTELY HATE the entire genre of songs that have the message of "you look better w/o makeup"/ "you don't know you're beautiful". Very corny and lowkey condescending to me. I haven't had an EXO song that I can't stand listening to like this since Lotto and it's STILL not my least favorite track on the album (that'd be Cinderella). So my number 2 goes to Cream Soda with Another Day and Hear Me Out going 3 and 4.

My first listen to the album, I feel like the only song that I like was Let Me In (and I already heard hear me out since it's release). I feel sad and underwhelmed coz I've been waiting for this comeback for years :" But next day I gave it another chance and it's not that bad, buy still not comparable to their previous albums, but this album is a grower for me after several listen, their vocals is always great. Rn after listening to the album for 3 days in a row, I still like Let Me In the most, next is another day. Cream Soda tho, I never dislike the song but definitely it's not easy to remember, even after I watched the MV for lots of time I can't even hum the song, dunno what's wrong with me, but it's not bad tho, it's just not as good as other EXO's TT. But I just want them to get lots of promotion and see their content a lot :" miss them so so much.

It's a grower for sure. The more I hear Cinderella, the better it gets even if they forgot the damn drums or whatever it was they left out. I'm waiting on that moment for Regret It lol. It may be awhile... On a side note I wonder if Xiumin's fave track is Private Party because it reminds me of his solo single. It's very very Xiumin and I'm here for it!

I was listening to Regret It yet again and had another thought about why it doesn't quite work for me. I mean the guys sound great because it's Exo, but it's NCT yet again. I swear I can hear NCT in this like it's a legit recycled track with the audacity to be #2 on the tracklist. It's not a bad song, it just not Exo imo. I had the same issues with Shinee's Hard but at least it wasn't the title and the overall album feels like Exo imo. I do agree that the album could have had better production, a bit more polish, all the things, but I still find it overall enjoyable and it's still a B rating. I would probably scrap Regret It because it doesn't fit but I may need to circle back in a month or so. It's only been days.

I was kinda disappointed too in this album. But i didn’t have high expectations cuz it’s SM after all and they have been kinda ignoring Exo and other senior artists these years so i definitely knew they weren’t gonna give them the best songs they had in store🙄. Im just enjoying that they are at least getting a comeback😂But I always love your honesty in videos thanks for the amazing reaction🤗I feel like you guys would love if u haven’t listened yet to their debut or sophomore album they had amazing b-sides there also Ex’act and Exodus they have soo many good b-sides on those albums too. Hopefully you guys check them out💚

I enjoyed this album but it feels like a collection of singles not a cohesive project. I think Regret It would sound better without the intro/outro beat (not sure if I described that well). For some reason Love Fool reminds me of NCT 127’s Pilot.
