Gotta start somewhere right?!! 

Production wise the consistency, mixing and vocals ARE AMAZING!! 

The songs themselves are mostly not my bag but that's what i was expecting for their Red sound. Looking forward to discovering more Velvet bsides.

Yay! let the journey beginnn. Really love how you knew it wouldn't be your bag but you still gave great appreciation for the production and vocals throughout anyway - if you keep up that energy you'll love their whole discography even if you dont vibe with every song (but it made me laugh how you didn't even finish DUWNM ngl I get it tho that hook is v annoying lol). I'm a Red girlie so this album will forever be my bag and is so nostalgic, I use to spam it on my journeys to sixthform 🥹 if there's one album I want them to rerecord its this one for sure. They already do amazing on the vocals but with how they've matured they could kill it even more Also love how you commented on how the vocals aren't over produced! We've really lost so many recipes in kpop its SAD! So many new artists these days sound bad live mainly cos studio versions these days are autotuned up the wazoo and they never sounded like that to begin with. Anywayy glad you're taking us down memory laneee! question: are you going to be skipping the Ice Cream Cake mini? with ICC and Automatic as double title tracks, its an album with a good balance of Red and Velvet

i love this album lol usually i prefer the velvet side but i swear the production and vocals make up for it when it comes to their red concepts. The way i had timeslip, oh boy and cool world on repeat when it first came out. Ice cream cake album is i guess more r&b velvet side? maybe you'll enjoy it more. The good thing about rv is that even if its not your cup of tea, you'll still have fun listening.

Lol This was a lot of fun ❤ I knew you would HATE Don't U Wait No More LMAO I was surprised how much you enjoyed Cool World though, I find the chorus a bit repetitive but glad you liked it! You said you don't know much about RBB mini, to me it is top tier RV minis, Sassy Me is one of the best Red Velvet b-sides and that is saying something. Lol Excited for that one! Btw, I know you're a Queendom stan lol did you listen to the Queendom mini album? Because I feel like it would be one of your favorites in RV discography.

I rate this album a little higher than you did, but it probably contains most of my skips in the RV discography. I don't have many, but most of them are on The Red. And Campfire is a masterpiece, I agree. It's an amazing mix. I sometimes use that as a reference mix.
