This album is fire. I love it from top to bottom. The structure of the album is genius. Many of them had input in this album and worked on tracks. I don’t really think they always need “cultural” input in there songs. They have always been hip hop/ experimental since debut. They have such a vast discography and have tried almost every genre and I think that’s what makes them so amazing.

The album does hit! Also I thought I was suuuuuuuuuuuuuuper clear in saying I would like that cultural input in just a couple of songs, not always, especially as it’s a full length album. I don’t deny they’ve been experimental, especially in 127 and U but I would like more East Asian sounds/melodies infused in that experimental aspect.

Micah I am so disappointed in you…I followed from early on but you seem to have lost your integrity. NCT has always been going against the mold of what it means it be a kpop group. As a reactor you should be able to recognize this and fairly judge their songs instead of using your bias and simply pandering towards the haters that prey on NCT. OK! is an excellent song and tbh I dont know if I can continue to support you, seeing the person you have become now.. 😔💔

2023-02-03 03:01:00 In general I get what you mean with the music style of nct. Like you said, with the subunits, their artistic development is so much clearer and I think especially because the units are so different, the sound of nct as a whole stays a lot safer (the well known rnb/hiphop influences but not saying that they aren’t totally experimental). Personally I don’t mind as this is exactly my sound and it’s what got me into them but I do hope that they decide to do something different the next time nct comes back as a whole. Hopefully 2023 because theyve enough now 😂. But back to the album itself, I absolutely loved it. OK IS THAT GIRL but I think my faves for now might be know now/earthquake/round & round. Also universe flows way better than the previous albums, the tracklist makes more sense. And I must say, I didn’t expect the album to sound like this. You know how sm likes to throw random genres to describe a song talking about contemporary rnb with funky hiphop and jazz instruments and blah blah only for it to be a country song

Yesss I must say the sequencing is GREAT!! LOOL they definitely need a break. It’s sooo deserved. I need to force myself to get into OK! Maybe one day I’ll be like Omg it’s sick.

The album definitely had some great tracks, but tbh it’s definitely not my favorite album from them. I just felt that some of the choruses weren’t hitting like I wished. Like for example, I love the verse in round and round, But the chorus fell a little flat for me. Always love hearing your opinions!

Oooo yeahh I get what you mean! I don't think I had a super stand out track that blew my mind but many that I enjoyed and met my expectations.
