First Xdinary Heroes, now Enhypen.

Full albums that could've really done something fresh and excting but fell back on familiar formulas and overall safe execution.

This really surprised me cos title track IS fresh, granted the pre chorus and chorus are extremely weak lyrically and far too simple the production makes up for this and so does their performance and the video overall.

I think had they added Lucifer on here it would've been great. They absolutely should do more songs in that vein cos they can really pull it off cos the vocals were strong. And like I said in the reaction some acoustic or instrument focused songs would've really been great since they do play.

At least i loved the title track tbh.

Enjoy!

The tt had so much thought into it The production and vocals were so crisp I honestly feel like they sounded their best on it. I really loved that they let the other members shined in the choruses and had heeseung bring substance to the verses, it was such a good change. You can tell they put a lot of thought into whos voice fit what part in XO, but in the album, it was pretty random to me. I feel the vision was there for each song, but they were not focused on keeping it interesting and solid. I just wish they weren't so desperate to push them on tour and milk money and instead take their time with the albums.

The title was written by jvke who’s obviously on the English version as a ft and I wonder if that’s why it’s maybe lacking and just feels like it was put out but Heeseung said the members tried to add input where they could and you can definitely see that. As for the album I do see growth in terms of genre and ofc vocals but it just feels like another album specifically for touring purposes in a way which they even stated they plan to tour it and it feels like the company has music on one side of their minds while making this and then revenue on the other however I’m proud of the boys for being more creative and never staying the same yk? I believe we’ll really see something special when they themselves have more control so fingers crossed as it’s just beginning . Fav album track for me is royalty + Xo! and love all your reviews as usual . Honest and constructive in logic ways love to see ITTTT

Thank youuuuu!! Yeahh I do wonder though why an album to tour can't still be innovative and push boundaries you know? But yeah we'll see with time.

The members all seem like they genuinely love this album so my anticipations were through the roof. But when i listened to the preview for the first time none of the songs rly give me the ‘oomph’ that u also mentioned. I’ve grown to like them more as I listen to it over&over but i can’t say this album is one of my fav from them which is such a shame ‘cause ik they’ve worked their butts off for both touring and this album. 😭

I think you said It perfectly when you mentioned them outgrowing the producers. I think just knowing what their actually capable of vocally and as Artist has slightly heightened my disappointment with the album. For example, the melody that Jake sings at the beginning of Hundred Broken Hearts You liked and The Chorus was composed by Jungwon. An issue I have with the album is that none of the songs truly feel finished due to the extremely short song lengths(given this isn't just an enhypen problem). They aren't even bad songs genre-wise I just feel as if there was so much expansion they could've did with the melodies, chords, and overall song structure. With that being said I've grown to like them a lot in the past half a week but even still i cant help but to feel like something is missing. The songs almost feel to safe for Enha. Its the feeling of "yeah their good but ik they could be ten times better"
