Ya'll won lol.

I had to check out a bit of this now and then follow up in a couple weeks! I like that the show gets straight to the point. The judging panel is also good! Feels a bit random but it works.

The main different between this and Build up was, I didn't fall in love with anyones voice just yet. Where as I fell in love with Neon straight away and of course Jay was there.

My favourite constant didn't even win hers. Which also annoyed me cos once again boring ballads are like a cheat code to get through lool, even though they were sung well it's like on pure technicality some of the singers lost simply because they went first and had more energy.

Im looking forward to the next episode and hope there's a larger variety of vocal tones and genres!

Enjoy!

Awesome to see you giving this show a chance!

song choices and performances get a lot more interesting once the group missions get going

Thank you for reacting to this! I personally think the judges just choose the second performance because the effect is still fresh. I was confused with some of their choices but I am excited to see the missions.

So the judge you don't know as well (the older guy).....he's a singer and made his debut as a guest singer for 015B which was a vocal group back in 1990. He also was a regular judge for Superstar K for 3 seasons so these shows are kind of his thing. BUT.......the thing that'll probably resonate with you the most is he is the CEO of the company Mystic Story.....the company that created Billlie

Irene

Ooohh wow! I didn't know that 015B Billlie connection!

I'm kinda annoyed that they're like actually eliminating people that quickly, and by pairing people up by similiarities, bc so far there were definitely pairs of people that I want to continue to see both of, and other pairs that in comparison, weren't as interesting. I'd really rather watch more of the girl who sang eleven and the woman who sang Jessie J over either of the "kpop university girls" or either of the ex-idols. I'm also kinda over groups being compiled of different "types", whether that be stylistically or vocally. Don't get me wrong, I want to see diversity and I want everyone to be interesting on their own, but so far, I don't know if I see all the people who have advanced working together. Are they creating a group? I'm assuming so, tbh I don't know this show, haven't watched it on my own, and don't really understand the premise soo... someone please tell they're not eliminating people that quickly!!!

Go play didn't work. It was making the screen black whilst I was screen recording

I THINK the MC said "up for elimination" so I have a feeling not everyone that lost is going home just yet I hope! I totally get what you mean too, I think group/duo challenges to start would've been better, like in Build up. It'll be a 5 member girl group.

Whenever i watch these shows, Im reminded how taken us koreans are with ballads and one thing that unfortunately will never really be conveyed even with subtitles are how the singers stress and interpret the korean lyrics themselves. Initially I was also a little eyebrow raised at why all the ballad singers were being chosen. Korean is such a poetic language (and thats at it's max in ballads) and rewatching it just now i realized "Ah....I get it". It very much can outshine actual vocal technique and sound but as the saying goes....words have power.

i'm already caught up with the show as i started it when it came out, but i gotta say- it only gets better from here, some of the performances in the next round went viral, and for all good reasons, they do show abit more personality after this round so you'll definitely warm up to alot of these contestants - plus it'll be less ballads for you hahah

Minseo kinda reminds me of Wendy. Idk what it is exactly
