BTS Yet To Come Concert! (Patreon)

Yet another HIGH ENERGY concert where I fall in love with Jungkook more and more but also Taehyung tried to SNATCH me. He kinda did tbh.

It was super short and quick but it definitely served its purpose. I LOVE how experienced and relaxed they are on he stage, like they could literally do it in their sleep!

My main critique for this concert is the over processing of vocals and excessive autotune on the mics. It takes away so much of the feelings you can get from RAW vocals.

But anyway the fact they have a mostly black band whilst still in Seoul was definitely a first!! Loved that.

I agree about the vocal thing, I hate that vocals in kpop are becoming more and more processed and overproduced even in concerts, but luckily most of their older concerts are a lot more raw vocally, especially pre-wings era. One thing's for sure though, they are amazing performers and they have always had this sincerity when they are on stage that you can feel.

This was the free concert they did …. They delayed Jin enlistment news because they did want ARMY to feel sad. Jin was also really unwell around this time, he mentioned he was getting injections in his throat for the week of the concert so that he could perform

To be fair, Big Bang worked with a mostly black band for their concerts since the Alive tour in 2012/2013, for what that is worth. I think that band also worked with others on YG’s roster.

ahhhh I remember watching this live an bawling cos everyone kinda knew that it would be the last time we would see them all perform together for a long while :( one thing I do remember is that jin was really sick right before this performance, I can't recall exactly what it was but he said that he could barely even speak before going on stage which is crazy considering how good he sounded throughout this! honestly I feel like jin doesn't get enough appreciation for his live vocals, like this man never slips, he has such great stamina.

I agree, he definitely deserves more appreciation for how stable and clear his vocals r, although ik critics have praised him several times but its still nice to see when reactors or fans praise and notice him.

I think the original stream was a lot more raw than the cinema version or amazon prime version.

I've never watched this like "cinema" version of this concert, apart from a couple clips, bc I watched stream, and there are some changes, both vocally and in the way it was filmed. Which are kinda interesting; definitely all made to make things look "perfected". I mainly remember jungkook struggling a lot more vocally. No one come for me please!!! I'm not being mean, even he said so in the bangtan bomb video from the concert. I think he was just recovering from a cold or something, so towards the end of the concert especially his voice got a little raspier and there were a couple times where he was supposed to belt and then didn't in the moment. Which they don't show in this footage, but you saw in the stream. He still sounded good, and he's still so impressive considering he always sings for most of the time, it's just those little things that they edit out and you lose as the viewer because they were "mistakes". The backing track on the vocal line also "feels" louder here than it did when I first watched it. It's hard to know how reliable my memory is; the audience was loud, and maybe this also changed song to song. IDK. It is what it is. (The processing on jhope was definitely out of a different intentionality to replicate recordings though.) They also did edit the footage from the live to show more of "close ups", and less wide shots. Which isn't always my taste, but I get it. Also, yah YOONGI. Something rly happened when his saturn returned. In 2021, his confince and stage presence came back like crazy. On a side note, before this concert RM said that it'll be the last time the rap line will perform their cyphers and older songs, but then come suga's tour he still threw in his cypher 3 and 4 verses with his UGH verse, which was really funny to me. He's proud of those!

I'm only commenting again, bc idk but I THINK, the subtitles from THAT suga lyric in Cypher 3 were censored. Cause I don't remember him changing it for that concert. I just think the subtitles say a version of the lyric tranlation without slang to make it easier to read fast and understand, that in turn kinda makes it less explicit. Right? I don't speak korean, someone help me. Cause I didn't see no "my flexible tongue movements" and "Hong Kong" there.

I've watched this concert before, but watched it again to see your reaction. BTS was the intro to k-pop for so many of us, so they are always going to hold a special place in my heart. Also...the streets want to know what you think about RM's album. And by the streets, I mean me.

totally agree with you. Also I prefer live streaming ver. than this edited ver. I know they do process vocal real time but the raw feeling is much better than this one! plus, I don't understand WHY the camera is worse even after editing lol
