I HAVE SO many thoughts, mostly not good but it is what it is lol.

The positives are, AT LEAST the music fucking BANGS for the most part, wish we had more of my fave bsides but also had some amazing ones. Their performance has a lot of energy and their styling isn't the worst I've seen.

Sunwoo is such an amazing, charismatic and captivating idol. He's so special and my love for him just keeps growing, so full of personality. Juyeon, Eric, Jacob & Kevin were also stand outs.

Now.

As I said in the video The Boyz are 6/7 years in now, WHERE is the artistic touch and creativity here? I DO speculate that because they don't have a leader in the typical sense and Sangyeon is a more laidback "class president" there's a lack of artistic creativity, risky taking as a result of that. This isn't necessarily a bad thing because they're still successful and have their own/sound and feel but conceptually it can leave their concerts feeling a bit uninspired BUT maybe other concerts aren't like this?

I would urge them to get a creative director to really make their performance a experience without increasing the budget though I do mention that getting 11 people to agree on things is probably WHY things are more simple, much like Seventeen however I do think some additions and remix moments here and there will also help some of the other members be more dynamic in their performance/facial expressions.

Many times you either get wooden/afraid expressions or intense/angry and not much else in between which to me registers as "I'm going through the motions, I'm at work and I'm not even 100% sure what I'm singing about". Once again, 11 people, when choosing a setlist I'm sure there are some unhappy troopers here and there lol.

Oh and the vocals. GWORL. I'd say about 25-30% of this was live which isn't too bad but it was a bit jarring it being when it came in at random times in comparison to the person miming. Overall the energy DID get better right after Watch it. That song fucking HITS. I also would've maybe opened the concert with Maverick tbh for the first set was pretty weak energy wise.

ENJOY!

I really think the problem is their company, bc when they have freedom to do something (some of the songs you like has been written/composed by the members) we can see more of their indentities. It’s such a shame to see them get restricted by IST. Btw, are you interested in watching their own content? They have some on their own youtube channel and with 1thek. I think you would love to see their dynamic as a group (complete caos lol), so if you’d like I have some recommendations: Come On! The Boyz in GOD-SAENG (1thek Channel - 11 eps + epilogue) The Boyz Love Letter Ep.1 and Ep.2 (it’s basically their own dating show lol) THE BOYZ : THE CONVOYZ Ep.1 and Ep.2 (it’s them playing mafia, but better) Wings Of Escape Ep.1 and Ep.2 (hunted house content from the Whisper era) The B University (I’m gonna leave the links in cronological order bc the titles for the videos are all in korean) 1. https://youtu.be/LKyamVb-Zf8?si=O1Z9lbM-2v9rLimc 2. https://youtu.be/f_VK6rUL8ZI?si=vY6nfSLyF50W46nt 3. https://youtu.be/bSIqM_Af_a0?si=XVNZy8idyov15QvH 4. https://youtu.be/elF6-T4QYFI?si=D85mrufgNjufI3MV 5. https://youtu.be/JUUcsHu9yOs?si=zIQh0JDPWt1YU5we 6. https://youtu.be/2DYthNP7iSA?si=PKznSHVtdY8dc5tI 7. https://youtu.be/C0yqGsxQDLo?si=cYihzjZFIkfIee92 8. https://youtu.be/gJD9zUMyd-c?si=isDfWrmeLa7fI3fP 9. https://youtu.be/5ITOlVY1N7k?si=HG69B_qGr1BLBgPN They have more fun stuff, but some are from the late Universe app, so the links are a little tricky to get, but I think a channel (I think it’s called tbzarchive, but I’m not sure) got to upload them on youtube. Anyways, these are my top favorites, I think you’re gonna like them. Sorry for the long ass comment lol got a little excited…

omg thank you so much for reacting hehe!! i understand your points and also agree to some of them! this concert had a much bigger scale in terms of production than the previous ones so i feel like the performance/creative directors were still trying things out and hopefully the next ones improve in that regard!! but as you said the songs are so so good that i didn’t really mind that aspect and was just happy to have some of my fave songs in this haha i do think the members have some input in the creative direction and I don’t mind if the company is the one leading them in that direction if it’s a good one (like the stealer/maverick/breaking dawn/watch it, etc.) but I think they just need to put together a good team of creatives for the next era (and replace mihwak ASAP, because his choreos are starting to loose the innovation they had, and I just don’t like the guy) and they will be back in their feet. tbz are ambitious when it comes to performances, so i believe that if they find a team that matches their ideas everything will fall into place hehe anyways!! it was a shame haknyeon wasn’t in this tho, he was injured and on hiatus so we wasn’t able to join, so that sucks but at least they were still able to celebrate the anniversary together at the end! their anniversary is on the 6th of december so they always have a concert to celebrate it (and they also always release a christmassy song during this time so that’s why they have that section in the concert lol) glad you still enjoyed it!! if you want to watch more types of performances they had their fancon The B-Road where they did group covers (hype boy/despacito) and each member’s solo stages (including sangyeon’s cover of bad by christopher/new’s cover of the visitor by iu, etc.!!) and it’s a lot more laid back! the previous tour The B-Zone is also a good one (without eric tho sadly), specially The B-Zone Encore, which had a remake of some of their road to kingdom performances like reveal and checkmate!!
