These girls are STARS.

They have such strong individuality and just seem relaxed and casual. Maybe it's the western influence so they seem kinda rebellious in a sense? Similar energy to (G)I-DLE.

Belle's voice man. DAMN but also Natty ate DOWN!!

The other 2 also know exactly what they're doing.

What an exciting girl group. I CAN SEE THEM giving me a shooting star in the future when they do a full album.

I agree these girls are STARS! the star quality in them is just screaming at me. the feeling of authenticity reminds me of idle or skz. i’m excited for what they’ll bring in the future!

I enjoyed this recording. Natty, Belle and Haneul have good control over their voices and that makes their musicality so much more evident. But when I listen to the recording I do feel a little bit fatigued. I feel some of the vowel shaping from Haneul and Natty could be better? They never really drop their jaw past a certain point and even though that more closed off sound builds a lot of attitude and tension, without a more open sound to release that tension, it becomes fatiguing for me especially during their belting. Belle and Julie doesn't have that problem for me.

I agree that probably to portray the sensualness, I just find that Belle and Julie strikes a nice balance between being more closed off to be more sensual and being more open just to have that change in dynamic.

Yayy thanks! 😌 Thoroughly enjoyed this. I found Haneul’s face when singing to be so fascinating? Like her lips and mouth shapes were really working to convey the sound she wanted and it seemed to work for her. Although you can tell that she hasn’t been singing for as long as Belle and Natty, she has soooo much growth potential. I think she has a lisp or something, too, but I could be wrong about that, it’s hard to tell when it’s not English lol. Belle is just mad. She just knows what’s to do and more. I’m glad that the other three girls have more distinctive tones though, because hers is quite generic to me personally. I remember watching Natty back on Sixteen and I really did not want her to make it into Twice because she was so young. It makes seeing and hearing her now all the better, because she’s really grown into a great artist.

yesss i too love watching content like this to analyze their specific techinique; it's always so interesting to me. especially belle?? her voice is so light yet carries a decent amount of weight in her lower range, it's so beautiful to hear. lowkey they remind me sm of my ults aespa like these girls are gonna make it big !! also speaking of aespa, i also wanted to ask if you would react to aespa's recording behind for 'drama and trick or trick'? also, a bit unrelated as it's just music talk, but tori kelly released her album last friday and the vocals are sooo good! i lowkey feel like you would enjoy some of the songs on there; highly recommend if you want some sort of like... r&b fusion type of sound.

I'd probably check out Tori off camera cos I don't think they'll be much of a demand but her main singles have been a bit somehow lool but I'm sure she'll have other songs I'll like. And yess Belle's voice is VERY interesting. Yes I'll add that to my list regarding Aespa, I dunno how I missed it

I haven't checked this out yet, so thanks for reacting to this. So happy that we've all found another group to look forward to. They have distinctive vocals & good technique, which is so nice. Belle is the standout but both Natty & Julie are well-developed artists (with long training periods). Haneul is the maknae wildcard but she just screams potential. They look like a group built vocals-first, which is so rare nowadays. Where the main consideration seems to be how they would sound together. Reminds me of Mamamoo in that way Curious tidbit: Their company is fairly new but it was founded by the ex-Cube chairman. Cube has its problems but they've always been good at discovering talent and letting them express themselves. Consider that during his time, they put together gidle, btob, 4minute, beast, etc... groups built around talent considered too awkward to utilize by others. I realized KOL kinda fits this description as well after discovering this bit of info

Kpop is so weird sometimes. The industry pumps out so many groups each year but they were going to let a known talent like Natty go to waste? This was almost her last chance

Something about them reminds me of Sistar/Mamamoo. A group that feels solid and all the members complement each other. Talented and charismatic overall.
