Managed to get a newsletter out despite the fucking site being down (Patreon)

Argh - site down since Thursday - the host Hezner had some sort of power surge that knocked 1000s of their clients offline.

We're still suffering from this - they haven't brought our box back online yet.

If worst comes to worst we're not fucked - we have backups and another server ready to go but we'd lose a couple of weeks worth of images and submissions so we're waiting....

It's pretty difficult to write a full newsletter without the site being there but we did it, but obviously it lacked news from the site as there's no site there!

In other news  - what has this week been?

Saw Barney Farmer of Drunken Bakers (Viz) do his turn at the Horse Hospital and he was genuinely great - go and see him if you can.

(Also it's called the Horse Hospital because that's exactly what it used to be - fixing up horses in the olden days when they were an essential bit of a taxi.)

I also made a bot - which I was quite pleased with - it simply posts gifs from from GeoCities which you'll either thing is fucking useless or find nostalgic / curious. The forgotten internet that we all shared.

It's based on the Internet Archive data - they grabbed something like 900gb of the stuff - you can download a torrent if you like.

Suspect there's gold in there - utterly forgotten gold, if you just know the questions to ask.
