It should have been a relief, returning home after her long mission out into space. Her little sister, Clarke, wasn't really that much weaker than her - that had been the source of most of their fights growing up, trying to determine who was stronger - so she had no doubt she could handle things here, yet, after being gone for so long, it was always nerve-wracking, wondering what news she was going to come back to.

One thing she definitely hadn't anticipated was almost immediately seeing a headline on a newspaper, declaring that the search for The Valkyrie was still ongoing. Ripping open the paper frantically, reading through the article as quickly as possible, she saw that wasn't the only hero that had gone missing lately, not by a long shot. It made her sick to her stomach, thinking of what could have happened while she was gone, how she could have helped out if she were there. Her mission had been important, and she was one of the few heroes who could have done it, but still... She went by Vanadis, which was another name for Freyja, the leader of the Valkyries. Clarke sometimes claimed she'd given her that title only because she was the older sister, however Lexi knew that she had earned it, making it her responsibility to look after The Valkyrie... And she had failed.

She was ready to immediately set off on a rescue mission, though she had to slow down, remind herself that not only did she not have any real information, she also ought to rest up for at least one night, get her strength back. If something had been able to defeat Clarke, she would need to be at full power to take it on.

She was more powerful, but it wasn't because of her raw power. That went back and forth, depending on whether she or Clarke had been training more lately, with Clarke taking the lead more often than not, which was what had given her the courage to want to be Vanadis. Lexi could, in the best of times, match her with most of her powers, although even when she was in tip-top shape, she'd never equaled her sister when it came to flying speed. What Lexi felt put her over the top, made her more worthy to be the leader, was something only a firstborn from their planet possessed.

She was strong, and could fly, and shoot beams from her eyes, like Clarke... On top of all that, however, she was invulnerable. It was a trait her race had begun to genetically code into their children as their planet became more and more inhospitable - before it had finally been destroyed, with Clarke and Lexi as the only survivors, sent off into space when they were very small - to give them more of a chance of survival. It was an expensive, difficult procedure, though, so each couple was allowed to do it just once.

It wasn't that she couldn't feel pain, or that nothing could hurt her... There were too many things out there that could cause either for the scientists of her homeworld to defend against all of them. Instead, she could adapt to any threat, her body quickly changing on a molecular level to disregard anything that might damage her. Clarke's argument was that she was fast enough to destroy any threat before she needed that, but clearly she'd been wrong.

She did still have to rest, however. She'd need to have all of her physical strength, most likely, to deal with whatever had been able to defeat Clarke, and no amount of adaptation could give her that back without a good night's sleep. That didn't stop her from searching the Internet, looking for rumors, anything that could point her in the right direction the next day.

She woke up groggy, disoriented, naked except for something around her neck. She gasped, reaching up, feeling a wide collar there, held firmly in place by something she hadn't felt in a long time. She yelped, pulling her hand away as if it had been burned, heart pounding as she stared down at it, her eyes even struggling to see in the dark thanks to its presence, though after a moment she could see that it was a lock, mockingly formed into a heart shape, impossibly made of a certain metal.

Orichalcum... She only vaguely recalled it from her time back on her home planet. The metal had a strange effect on her people, weakening them significantly. Of course, the first-born could learn to adapt to it as well, if they were exposed to it long enough. It was a dangerous process, though, considering how powerless it could render them in the meantime, so it had become something of a rite of passage, a way for them to prove they were grown up... By the time her planet had been destroyed, Lexi hadn't been anywhere close to ready for that, so she'd only encountered it very briefly, barely brushing against it, and it had left her bed-ridden for a week.

Now there was a chunk of it hanging at her neck, attached to this collar. She couldn't help feeling anxious, even though she knew that, with time, she'd become immune to its powers, would be able to rip it off of her. In the meantime she was helpless, her mind swirling with panic, knowing that whoever had done this could do anything they wanted to her, at least briefly. This must be how Clarke had been defeated, she assumed. The main question on her mind, however, was who could possibly have known about this, how they'd found where she lived... And how could they have gotten their hands on Orichalcum when, as far as she knew, every bit of it had been destroyed with her planet?

"Oh, good," an unfamiliar voice said from the darkness. "You're awake. How lovely... I was hoping you wouldn't sleep through all of the fun part."

Lexi expected an impressive figure, a supervillain in full costume, ready to rub their victory in her face... Instead, it was a normal-looking young woman in a floral-print dress and heels who flipped on the lights, smiling down at her, hands full of more straps, smaller versions of the same lock around her neck dangling from them.

There was a jolt of fear that raced through her, even as she realized this was probably the best thing she could hope for. She thrashed uselessly, making a show of trying to get away as the straps were locked around her wrists and thighs, but she knew it was ultimately a good thing. The more Orichalcum she had near her, the weaker she would be at first... And the faster her body would learn to ignore its effects.

That didn't make it any less humiliating, of course, being led, naked, through her own apartment, out to her living room, where a changing mat was laid out, a thick, white diaper folded up beside it. "W-Wait, what is that for?!" she squeaked, blushing bright red.

"Shh," the woman cooed at her. "Don't worry, sweetie... Mommy is going to get you all padded up and back to the nursery where you belong."

"Wh-What are you talking about?!" Lexi shook her head. She wasn't sure why, exactly, but this felt almost worse than the Orichalcum, certainly more degrading for someone of her stature. Her struggles intensified, yet still weren't nearly enough for her to break free of the woman's grip as she was pushed to the floor onto the mat.

Frantically, she attempted to roll off, to get away, which only prompted the woman to attach a pair of bars to Lexi's restraints, one between her thighs, spreading them wide, the other behind her neck, her wrists locked to either side, holding her hands well out of the way. Once she had her powers back, she could snap the bars in no time... Until then, she was open, vulnerable, trapped, unable to prevent this woman from doing whatever she wanted with her... Which, for some reason, meant putting her into a diaper.

"You aren't going to get away with this!" Lexi glared defiantly up at her, as the woman calmly unfolded the diaper, using the bar between her legs to lift her bottom up, sliding the garment beneath her, sprinkling her privates liberally with baby powder. "If you stop it right now, I'll take it easy on you."

"Calm down, silly," the woman chuckled, pulling the diaper up between Lexi's legs, Lexi letting out an involuntary gasp as she felt the padding being tugged snugly into place, as she saw the tapes starting to be fastened. "I'm only trying to help you."

"H-How is this...?!" Lexi demanded, cutting herself off in shock as, in a flash, everything changed.

"Very good," Mommy purred. "You always have such perfect timing, sweetie."

Diamond Dream nodded eagerly. "I know, Mommy! That's why I'm your big girl!"

Mommy had to suppress a giggle, hearing the former hero say that so earnestly while she was standing there in her tiny, frilly, pink babydoll dress, just as thickly diapered as her latest victim. She had been so easy, yet so satisfying, to defeat, and Mommy had no doubt that she was going to be an invaluable tool for her continued conquest of the rest of the heroes.

All she'd had to do was trick the girl into using her powers on herself, crafting a dream that she was Mommy's right-hand woman, the only person Mommy would allow to stay out of diapers, so long as she did everything Mommy asked of her. After seeing what had become of the other heroes, she'd been happy to do whatever she had to to keep from becoming like them, while, in truth, she was, any maturity she had purely a creation of her own imagination. And, as soon as she'd done everything Mommy needed of her, with a snap of her fingers Mommy could end it, send her careening back to reality, only to bring it back when she had use of the girl's powers again.

It must be disorienting, Mommy thought, switching back and forth like that, never knowing which version of reality was true and which was a dream... She could hardly blame Diamond for assuming the one where she was a grown-up still was real, had counted on it, but that didn't make it any less amusing to see how deeply she bought into it despite the evidence otherwise, plain to see for anyone and everyone other than the poor, silly little girl herself.

"Just keep her there by herself for now," Mommy instructed. "I know the next part is going to be fun, but it will be better once we have her safely in her nursery, with a few... props... to help things along."

"H-Hello?" Lexi tried one last time, giving the straps holding her down one more half-hearted tug. As always, it did nothing, or at least not enough to make a difference.

She had no idea how she'd wound up in this doctor's office, why she was restrained, so tightly and thoroughly, to the table in there, why she was wearing a diaper, of all things, and nothing else. The last thing she remembered was being on the floor of her apartment, getting diapered. Now she was here, with no Orichalcum in sight, yet still feeling just as weak, just as helpless, as she had then.

The straps fastened around her waist, her arms, her legs, her neck, were pink, like Orichalcum, but they clearly weren't made of it. They were soft, fluffy... And still well out of her ability to break free from. The color almost felt like it was mocking her, making her think of her weakness, while obviously not being it.

"Ah, there's my favorite patient." Lexi squirmed as much as she could, trying to sit up, to see who had said that. It hadn't sounded like the woman from her apartment, and, as she approached, she saw that, indeed, it wasn't.

There was also no way this was a real doctor. She was around Lexi's age, and stunning, but the tiny pink dress and white doctor's coat she was wearing wasn't something Lexi could imagine an actual doctor wearing. It felt like something from someone's fantasies, especially with how low-cut the top of the dress was, how much of the woman's breasts were visible as she leaned over the table, making Lexi all the more aware of her nudity, of how flat her chest seemed in comparison.

"Wh-Where am I?" Lexi asked.

"You're still at the hospital, Lexi," the woman told her. There was something familiar about her, but Lexi had too much else to think about now to try to place her.

"Th-The hospital?" she frowned. "I-I don't..." She didn't go to the hospital; she didn't get hurt. And yet... This woman had known her name. Not her superhero name, her real one, something she revealed to almost nobody.

"Did you forget again?" the woman sighed. "I thought we were making progress, Lexi!"

"What are you talking about?!" Lexi demanded.

"Shh, shh," the woman patted her on the head. "I'm not mad at you Lexi... It is disappointing, but it isn't your fault. It's only natural to have relapses. Your delusions really were quite deep-rooted, so they'll take some time to..."

"What delusions?!" Lexi shook her head. "What is going on?!"

"Well, Lexi," the doctor explain patiently, turning around to root through a drawer, "you used to believe you were a superhero."

"I-I am!" Lexi knew she shouldn't say that now, not while she was dressed like this, trapped here, but she couldn't help herself.

"No, dear, you aren't," the doctor said. "If you were, you wouldn't have broken nearly every bone in your body trying to prove that you were. That's why I need you to stay so still... They're almost healed, but if you go running off to do that again..."

"N-No, that didn't happen," Lexi groaned. "I-I didn't..." As she wriggled, she caught a glimpse of her hair, her brow furrowing, her confusion growing, as she noticed that her hair was brown, not blonde. "W-Wait, what...?"

"It did happen, Lexi," the doctor replied, turning around, vibrator in hand. "You know, sometimes I think you keep denying it because you want a little more encouragement... But that's all right, Lexi. I can do this as many times as it takes." Lexi's heart began to pound, cheeks burning as she saw the device whir to life, as it moved closer and closer to her diaper.

She had no idea that, out in the real world, Mommy was waiting for just the right moment, until Diamond Dream signaled to her, to switch on the vibrator waiting there, too, the reverberations echoing through the dream and reality at the same time, creating something unlike anything Lexi had ever felt before.

"You're not a superhero, Lexi," Diamond Dream told Lexi, smiling as she watched her victim writhing, nearly drooling, beneath her. "And you never were, were you?"

In that moment, Lexi would have said almost anything that the doctor asked of her, so long as it meant this kept up, as long as she got to continue feeling the waves of pleasure that were rushing through her. "N-No, ma'am," she whimpered. "O-Of course not..."

"Good girl," the doctor grinned, pressing the vibrator tighter to Lexi's diaper. "I knew you'd come around..."

I love your work generally. The superhero ones are never quite my thing, but if you enjoy writing it and others enjoy reading it, go for it. I’ll wait for some of the other stories.
