Elizabeth gasped at the loud, blaring noise, too drowsy for a moment to figure out what it was... As she woke slowly from her nap, she realized it was the fire alarm. She'd heard it plenty of times when she was living in the regular dorm, but not at all since she had moved into the sorority house, likely because there wasn't a big, obvious pull-station to temp drunk teens.

Unfortunately, that meant this one was probably real... In fact, as she looked over at her door, she could see white smoke rolling in underneath. In her panic, she didn't take time to think, or prepare, she just leapt to her feet and rushed out of her room, running downstairs and out the closest door, the back one that led out onto the sorority house's porch.

It was only then, as she stumbled out into the sunlight and saw her sorority sisters standing there, giggling, that she realized she had on nothing more than a sleep bra and the Goodnites she, unfortunately, had to wear whenever she fell asleep - and, really, anytime she was afraid she would be unable to reach a bathroom at a moment's notice. Her mind also began to wake up more, telling her that the smoke had seemed very light, and had smelled strangely sweet, almost like something out of a fog machine... And the alarm, while loud, wasn't nearly as much so as what she was used to, like it was just playing from a speaker....

"Don't stop now, little Lizzy!" the president of the sorority smirked. "You're almost there!" That was when Elizabeth noticed the green, plastic potty sitting out on the porch, and she knew, for sure, that it really had been just a prank. "Or did you already go? Did baby Lizzy make an oopsie in her diapie?"

"Oh, my God," one of the other sisters giggled. "I think she did! Look at it!"

Elizabeth knew she couldn't live this down... She'd been teased all through high school about her little problem, and she'd hoped that college would be a chance to start over; she'd been right, for a while, but obviously, someone had found out, and now she was sure they'd never let her forget that they knew. When she burst into tears, the president had told her it was just a joke, but she knew better - even as the president hugged her, she could hear other girls snickering at the crybaby.

So, she'd dropped out, or, rather, just left. It was a stupid move, as her parents were happy to remind her, doing it without telling anyone, or trying to work it out, but she refused to go back. She refused to tell them, or anyone else, the truth about what had happened, so, from the outside, it looked like she'd just given up, which made it very hard to find another school to take her.

Until, to her surprise, she got a letter from a school she'd never heard of. It had a strange name, but it sounded very exclusive and prestigious... The campus looked gorgeous from the brochure they sent, and they were offering her a very nice scholarship... This seemed even better than the school she'd just left! Maybe it was all for the best...

There was a very lengthy agreement she had to sign for the scholarship, which she gave up on reading after the first page or so. Honestly, it all looked so nice... How could she turn it down? Especially since she wanted to prove to her parents that she could fix this mess she'd gotten herself into. So, she'd signed it and sent it back, and a few days later she was sent a plane ticket to take her to her new school.

The woman who'd been sent to pick her up from the airport was quiet, answering any of Elizabeth's questions with a simple, one word answer. It was a bit strange, but Elizabeth just assumed that she was shy, or so used to doing this sort of thing that she was sick and tired of newbie questions. The house she was driven to was quite nice, though she had to admit that, in person, it looked a little more like a boarding school than a traditional college. In a way, she supposed it was: there was only one building, and all the students had to wear uniforms. It was strange, sure, but that didn't mean it was bad... Did it?

Even if it was only one building, the house was huge, with two towers, and it seemed to be almost covered in windows, although she couldn't see much through them. She thought it looked something like a house out of an old scary movie... She didn't watch many of those, however, so what did she know? It certainly felt just a tad ominous, even as she told herself that this place was going to be great. At the very least, she thought, she had another chance to keep her secret here...
