"Oh, my God," Khloe giggled to herself, having to work hard not to speak too loud, or squeal in delight, or pounce into a cuddle with her girlfriend, or do anything else that would wake her up. "You are so adorable!"

She'd known that already, of course, even before yesterday, after her declaration, when she'd dressed Cathy up in a diaper and one of her onesies, tying her hair into ribbons, giving her a bottle, then making her sit on the floor and play. She had to admit, it had taken her a little time to get into the mindset that she was meant to be in charge, that she had to be the adult for this to work, but it seemed to be working all right now.

And how could it not? It had been a stroke of genius, if Khloe did say so herself, putting Cathy to bed in a princess PJ top and double diaper, and nothing more. The pajamas were childish, absolutely - they'd bought them from the children's section when they saw that they were big enough to fit either one of them - though not inherently infantile. Adding the extra thick diaper to them, however, corrected that, especially combined with the stuffed animals Khloe had tucked Cathy into bed with, and the fact that Cathy had started to suck her thumb sometime in the night...

And, obviously, the state of her diaper, which Khloe could see was definitely quite wet, even from here. Cathy wasn't going to be happy about that when she woke up, and Khloe felt bad for her because of that, yet she couldn't deny how incredibly adorable it was at the same time. This plan was going to work, she told herself. How could it not when Cathy was so clearly an oversized toddler, looking at her now?

As if hearing her girlfriend's thoughts, or feeling how intently she was staring at her, Cathy stirred, rolling over, blinking. "Morning, baby girl," she mumbled, reaching up to rub her eyes.

Khloe's knees got a little weak, the same way they did every time Cathy called her that, but she willed them to stop, forced herself to maintain her composure, stick with the program. "Don't be silly, sweetie," she said, flouncing over and leaning down to kiss Cathy on the forehead, giving her diaper a pat at the same time. "You're the baby girl."

Cathy, still struggling to wake up entirely, squirmed some more, looking down at herself, to Khloe's delight. There was no way she could see that, and then the way Cathy was dressed - having gotten up early to, for once, put on something appropriate for her age - and not fall into character.

"Oh," Cathy responded to the sight. "Right."

Khloe frowned, confused at the reaction, the polar opposite of her own. She didn't sound happy about it at all... Then again, wasn't that the whole point of this exercise? Khloe had known it wouldn't be as simple as showing Cathy had cute and sweet she could be, though it was still somewhat disheartening to see the expression on Cathy's face, discover how much work she really had ahead of her.

"Somebody's grumpy," Khloe teased. "Maybe you ought to stay in bed a while."

Cathy sighed. "But I'm awake now... I have too much to do, Khloe..."

"No, you certainly do not," Khloe informed her. "You're a tiny little girl, Cathy. All you have to do is play with your toys, and use your diapers, and maybe watch some cartoons if you're good enough to earn some screen time."

"Khloe..." Cathy started, sitting up, which gave Khloe the perfect opportunity to give her a smack on the bottom. It wasn't too hard, definitely not enough to hurt through her double diaper, but it did take Cathy by surprise, quieting her down.

"It's Mommy," Khloe reminded her. "You address me as Mommy, baby... Okay?"

Cathy blushed, nodded, her thumb sliding back up to her mouth in a way that encouraged Khloe, made her think this might be working after all. "Okay," she agreed, before giggling, saying, "Okay, Mommy-baby."

Khloe smiled. "Oh, you little brat!" she pretended to be upset, leaping onto the bed next to her to attack her with tickles, pleased to hear how easily her girlfriend started to laugh. "I'm going to keep you in bed all week at this rate!"

She truly might have, if she'd have been able to convince Cathy, before then, to buy a crib. She'd suggested it in the past - or, rather, Cathy had brought it up joking when Khloe had gotten up before her and made a mess in the kitchen or something, and Khloe had playfully agreed it might be a good idea - but they'd never actually done anything about it. Khloe wasn't sure how serious Cathy had ever been, though she wouldn't have minded it, in fact loved the thought of it.

It really would have been useful now in preventing Cathy from getting out of bed, from going out and working on chores, anxiously finding her phone no matter how well Khloe thought she'd hidden it to make sure nobody at her job had texted because there had been some disaster that they needed her to come in from her vacation and take care of.

"I'm sorry!" she apologized, after getting caught rushing back to bed when she'd heard Khloe walking down the hall a second too late, Khloe getting a glimpse of her scrambling back onto bed, grabbing for her favorite stuffed bunny and shoving her thumb into her mouth as she opened the door. "I'm trying..."

Khloe wanted to scold her, but she knew that she was telling the truth. "It's all right, baby," she said. "I'd love getting to just sit and play and be a baby for a day..."

"You would, huh?" Cathy smirked, Khloe blushing and squirming, seeing the gears turning in her head for once they switched back.

"Hush," Khloe shook her head. "Obviously, you need a little more than that, and that's okay! Every baby is different! Do you want Mommy to play with you?"

Cathy's response was less enthusiastic than Cathy had anticipated, though she tried not to take it to heart. "Sure. What do you want to play?"

"Well... What do you want to play?" Khloe countered. "What were - are - your favorite games as a little girl?"

"I dunno," Cathy shrugged. "Candy Land?"

"Oh, Candy Land!" Khloe's eyes lit up. "That's perfect! I know we have that somewhere!" She dug through the closet, finding the box in the very back, feeling a touch jealous she'd never thought of it for herself. She considered playing on the bed, keeping that bit going, but she knew it would be a huge nuisance, trying to keep the board straight, and the pieces and cards from sliding around, so she let Cathy off of it, leading her into the living room, the two of them sitting on the floor, the game between them.

"What color person do you want?" Khloe asked, gently swatting Cathy's hand away when she reached for them. "Mommy will take care of that for you... I don't want you to be tempted to try to eat it."

Cathy rolled her eyes. "I want yellow," she said. Khloe nodded, a little disappointed, since that was the piece she'd always used as a kid, but, at the same time, happy at that connection, taking it as a sign that Cathy was connecting with her inner child slightly more.

"Well, I'll be blue, then," Khloe decided. "Why don't you draw the first card?"

"Oh, I can do that?" Cathy stuck out her tongue.

"I'll keep a close eye on you to make sure it stays out of your mouth," Khloe told her.

Khloe had forgotten how simple the game was, which, in her opinion, made it perfect for getting someone into littlespace. It was working for her, as much as she attempted to prevent it, and she had to struggle to remember to maintain her place as the grown-up between the two of them. She did her best to throw the game, to let Cathy win, but there wasn't a lot she could do about it thanks to the randomness of the cards, and, eventually, she failed.

"Sorry," she said bashfully, not wanting to celebrate too much and rub it in, even if she was excited about it on the inside. "We could try again, and I bet you'll beat me that time?"

Cathy sighed, glancing over at the clock, Khloe's stomach falling as she saw how badly she'd failed in another way. She'd loved playing the game; Cathy, on the other hand, had clearly been bored by it, searching for some excuse to not go in for another round. "That took a long time," she pointed out. "I'm not sure..."

"We don't have to!" Khloe assured her. "We could play dolls instead! That might be more fun!"

"Yeah," Cathy forced a smile. "Maybe..."

Khloe could tell it wasn't, though, not for Cathy. Nothing seemed to work, none of Khloe's favorite baby activities breaking through, earning a genuine smile from Cathy. Khloe was determined, however, positive that she could find the right one, or that, perhaps, she'd started things off on the wrong foot, trying to make her stay in bed and relax.

So, the next day, she woke Cathy up bright and early, had breakfast ready and waiting for her, then launched into as much fun stuff as she could think of, doing some fingerpainting, blowing bubbles, watching cartoons... And, through it all, she could see Cathy making an effort, but only growing more miserable.

Khloe was embarrassed that it took her until she put her down for a nap, and had a few moments to herself, as she cleaned up the messes they'd made, that it occurred to her why. It was so obvious then that she could hardly believe it hadn't struck her before then, before she'd ever even started with this plan.

Of course it wasn't helping... She'd thought showing Cathy that being babied could be fun would cheer her up, but Cathy didn't want to be a baby. If anything, that's what she was afraid of. Khloe was going to have to find a different angle to approach this from.

Luckily, that wasn't too difficult. She was more than happy to slip into a diaper herself, while Cathy napped, stripping down to it and a lacy bra, playfully pulling the matching panties up over her padding. She'd definitely missed her diapers while she was being the Mommy... And her underwear had, too, since she'd had to stuff a couple pairs into the laundry basket with wet spots on them, assuming she'd be the one to wash them later on in the week.

She waited as long as she could for Cathy to wake up from her nap, but eventually, she got impatient, climbing into bed next to her, waking her up with a kiss on the lips. "Get up," she urged, even as she laid down next to her.

"Wh-What are you..?" Cathy yawned.

"Listen," Khloe said, staring up at Cathy, "I know you don't want to be a baby, and that's okay."

"No," Cathy shook her head. "I'll try harder..."

"Nope," Khloe cut her off. "Diapers make me feel babyish, and I love it, but that doesn't mean you have to feel the same way. Diapers can also make me feel another way, and I think that might appeal to you a little more..."

Cathy sighed. "I don't know, Khloe," she told her. "I'm just not sure there's anything that's going to..."

She went quiet as Khloe reached over beside their bed, grabbing her vibrator. "You've never tried this with your diapers, have you?" Khloe asked, Cathy blushing, shaking her head. "You have no idea what you're missing," she continued, turning it on, already feeling a warmth, and a wetness, between her legs at the mere sound of it. "Why don't you let Mommy show you how its done?" she grinned. "Then you can give it a try, and see if it makes you feel any better?"
