"Oh, I don't know about that," Monica chuckled. "I don't know if she would go for that."

"But wouldn't it be fun?" Sydney pushed. "Just one more time?"

She could see Monica's face softening, looking back on all her old memories. "It would," she had to admit. "I didn't think we'd be done with it so soon... Not that I'm upset she found you, of course!" She smiled down at Syd. "I simply assumed it would take her much longer to find a little to adopt... Or that... Well..."

"What?" Syd asked, doing her best not to let her enthusiasm show through as she gently guided the conversation exactly where she wanted it to go. "Or that what?"

Monica hesitated, just long enough to make Syd worry she'd gone too quickly, made it too obvious what she was doing, before finally she shook her head, smirking wryly. "It sounds silly now, I know, but there was a part of me that thought she might end up getting adopted herself. She never has been good at cooking on her own, or doing her laundry, or... Most grown-up things, really. College has clearly done wonders for her, however."

"Uh-huh," Syd nodded, heart racing. This might be a difficult needle to thread... If she doubled down too hard, Monica might start to question how, or why, Syd had let herself end up under Hannah's control in the first place, but she also needed to sow some doubt, to get the wheels moving. "I bet she can do all that super well now!"

"You bet, huh?" Monica smiled. "Doesn't she do your laundry for you? I can't imagine she'd make you deal with those big scary machines by yourself!"

"Not anymore," Syd shrugged. "She used to make me do her laundry for her, though, because she's the RA, so I hafta do what she says. And then, after she decided to adopt me, she had someone else start doing it for both of us."

Monica's eye twitched, ever so slightly. "She made you do it?"

"I didn't mind!" Syd told her sweetly. "I was very good at it! And she's very busy!"

"I'm sure you are," Monica patted her on the head, "and I'm sure she is, but that feels like an abuse of her power, don't you think?"

"I dunno," Syd replied, wide-eyed. "I don't know what that word means!"

"And if she trusted you enough to handle that," Monica mused, mostly to herself, "then why...?"

"She made me help her study, too," Sydney offered. "Because I got better grades than her. They were, like, really, really good!" She bounced in place, letting her diaper crinkle loudly beneath her. "I thought maybe she was jealous at first, but then they started to get worse, and I started to have accidents, and luckily, she was there to help take care of me!"

"Oh, sweetie," Monica gave her a hug. "I'm so sorry... She shouldn't have done that! That's not the story she told me."

"Well," Syd hedged her bets, "maybe I'm not remembering it right... I have trouble with that, sometimes..."

"Poor thing," Monica shook her head. "Don't worry, dear, it'll be okay... I think your idea is very clever..."

Sydney couldn't help herself. Monica had, for once, gone off to the kitchen on her own to make snacks for the evening's festivities, leaving Syd and Hannah by themselves, a rare occurrence, especially since the conversation she'd had with Syd. Sydney also hadn't been in the walker much after that, which was nice, but she did find herself missing it a little, almost craving the sweet sound of her special song.

"So," Syd sidled up next to Hannah, "what's the plan?"

"Hmm?" Hannah blinked over at her. "What do you mean?"

"What do you think I mean?" Sydney rolled her eyes. "This is it, right? We have the big New Year's Eve get-together tonight, and then people will probably be around tomorrow, and we leave the day after that, so if we're going to do this, we should do it now."

"I'm sure I don't know what you're talking about," Hannah replied haughtily.

"Yes, you do!" Syd pouted. "The plan!"

"I only had one plan," a grin began to spread across her face, "and it was to kill two birds with one stone, to get rid of the thief that's been plaguing my floor, and give my family someone else to treat like a baby instead of me... And that has gone perfectly." She gave Syd's diaper - peeking out, as it almost constantly did, from beneath the hem of her dress - a poke, then a squeeze. "Look at you! Did you even notice how soaked you are? You must have been piddling non-stop since lunch! It would be awfully hard for you to sneak around when your diapers crinkle so loudly... If you were going back to college, that is."

"I am," Syd informed her.

Hannah snorted. "You really don't get it, do you? I guess you aren't as clever as you think... But isn't that the case with all you littles? You believe you're so big, and so smart... So why do you always end up in diapers, being treated like babies? You are staying right here... I asked Monica if she might consider keeping her nursery running full-time in the new year, and she said she was more than happy to do so..."

Sydney pretended to act shocked, to be at a loss for words. "You can't do this to me!" she whined. "I'm not a baby!"

"Oh, please," Hannah scoffed. "My whole family has seen what a baby you are, and there's no way they're going to believe that now, after seeing you the past couple holidays. And once we get you all dolled up as Baby New Year, that's only going to seal the deal."

"You're right," Monica interrupted, both of the girls turning to see her standing in the doorway, hands on her hips, a large, wooden spoon in one. "It will."

Syd felt her squishy diaper warm at the sight, a part of her worried how much Monica had heard, which of them she was coming for as she strode across the room, Hannah shrinking back slightly out of habit. "I-I was just saying," she spoke up, doing her best - and failing - to keep her voice from shaking, "It might be time to go ahead and get her into her outfit for tonight, so she can get used to it."

"Excellent idea," Monica approved. "Why don't you go ahead and fetch it. You know where it is."

"She can't use mine," Hannah pointed out. "It would be way too big for her."

"Go get it," Monica repeated, gesturing down the hall with her spoon.

"She can't use mine!" Hannah's tone started to transform into a whine. "We talked about this! I thought you were going to make her one of her own!"

"Hannah, you march right down there and get your diaper and your sash!" Monica demanded, suddenly far harsher than Syd had ever heard her, to the point where she was ready to obey herself.

"They're not mine!" Hannah stomped her foot. "She's the baby, not me!"

Sydney saw the wet spot forming on the crotch of Hannah's jeans almost before Monica's hand closed around the girl's arm; she must have sensed that she'd messed up from the way her aunt closed the gap between them, marching across the living room, eyes blazing with anger to yank Monica over her lap.

"Aunt Monica!" Hannah squealed, feet kicking frantically. "You can't do this! You don't understand!"

"I understand perfectly well," Monica replied. "Sydney told me all about the way you acted as an RA... I should have known that the moment you got any shred of power, you'd misuse it."

"No!" Hannah groaned, wriggling helplessly, Monica easily keeping her pinned across her legs, unable to escape. "She..! Ow!"

Even Syd flinched as the spoon smacked down loudly across the bigger girl's backside, tears immediately springing to Hannah's eyes. "You know I don't like to have to do this," Monica lectured, "but you've shown me I have no choice in the matter. Apparently, this is the only thing that gets through to you."

"Ouch! Stop!" Hannah wailed. "A-At least don't spank me in front of her!"

"You're lucky I don't let her spank you herself," Monica countered. "Now go on, get up."

"A-Am I done?" Hannah blinked, stumbling obediently to her feet, rubbing her bottom.

"Oh, definitely not," Monica shook her head, reaching for the front of Hannah's jeans. "But it's time for these to come off."

"Auntie Monica!" Hannah whimpered, trying to push the woman's hands away. "Sh-She'll see..."

"Yes, she'll see that you wet yourself," Monica said matter-of-factly. "I'm sure she already knows. And I can't spank your bare bottom with these on, so they're going to have to come off."

Hannah gulped, staring down at her feet. "Y-You don't hafta... I-I've learned my lesson! I-I won't do it again!"

"You certainly won't," Monica agreed. "Because you are not going to be an RA anymore, young lady. In fact, you aren't going to be a college student at all. I've called to explain things to them already, so the Dean of Students can find a suitable replacement for you, though you will go apologize to him in person when we drop Sydney off there."

"She still gets to go?!" Hannah glared at Syd, but, by now, her pants were already around her ankles, the damp patch on her panties plain to see, which greatly decreased her intimidation factor. "Y-You don't know about her! Sh-She...!"

"I am not listening to any more of your lies, young lady!" Monica silenced her with another swat of her spoon. "It's going to be a long time before I can trust anything that comes out of your mouth!"

Syd watched, fascinated, as Hannah devolving into a blubbering little girl under the force of her aunt's spanking, until, when it was over, she posed no resistance, obediently waddling, pants and panties around her ankles, down the hall to fetch the massive cloth diaper from the hall closet, bringing it back to the living room so that she could be pinned into it right in front of Sydney.

Next to the rest of her outfit, that was practically modest, however, as the only other thing she was given to wear was a sash bearing the words, 'Happy New Year!' slung across her chest just right to keep her breasts covered, while utterly failing to do the same for her diaper.

She looked very displeased when Syd strutted out of the nursery in her new, sparkly dress and matching heels, the ones that Monica had bought her when they'd gone out shopping earlier that day, and Hannah had chosen to stay home, thinking that when Monica said they were getting things for the party, she meant food. Syd had told Monica she didn't have to do that, that she'd gotten used to the rest of the family seeing her as a baby, so what was one more holiday at this point, but Monica had insisted.

"What do you think?" Syd teased, giving the pouting girl in her diaper a pose and a wink. Hannah didn't have to know that she was still in a Pull-Up underneath, that she didn't quite trust herself to go without any protection; the effect would probably still have been the same either way, considering how huge Hannah's diaper was in comparison. "She let me borrow this, too."

She showed off the diamond earrings, and matching necklace, Monica had let her pick out from her vanity. "I told her all about how I saw you eyeing these, and the way you bragged about how you were going to steal them, and how she deserved it for how she always treated you like a baby... I can't imagine why she'd ever treat you that way!" Syd giggled, intently eyeing the bulk of Hannah's diaper. "It sure would be a shame if these went missing... She'd probably assume it was you, after she heard all that, even if she couldn't find them..."

"Don't you dare, Sydney!" Hannah fumed.

"Oh, Hannah," Syd giggled, adjusting Hannah's sash, leaning close to her ear as she did so, "just try and stop me."

The cousins were, of course, confused when they arrived, and saw that Syd and Hannah had switched places. Monica had offered to let them know ahead of time, or call off the party altogether if Syd wasn't comfortable with it, but Sydney was more than happy to hold court, telling them all her version of the story as she strutted around the living room, growing more and more used to her heels, as Hannah sulked in the corner in her diaper, getting instantly shushed any time she spoke up to defend herself. They all knew what a baby she was already, had been used to seeing her that way, so they were quite receptive to Syd's tale, and to seeing the youngest cousin, back in diapers where she belonged to ring in the new year.

Monica had bought Syd some more clothes, too, feeling bad about getting her all that baby stuff for Christmas now that she knew the 'truth,' though she promised she'd get plenty of use out of those gifts with Hannah, at least the ones that would work for a larger baby than they'd been intended for. Syd was in one of those new outfits for the trip back to school, a pair of trainers stealthily hidden beneath her designer jeans.

Maybe she should feel guilty, having picked out such expensive things... Monica hadn't minded one bit, however, had encouraged her to do so. Besides, hadn't she come here to rob her? Or that had been what she was told, anyway, even if Hannah may never have meant to follow through on it.

"If you need anything," Monica told her, giving her a big hug, "you can call me, all right?"

"All right," Sydney smiled. "I'll definitely have to check in on Hannah sometime, at the very least!"

Hannah scowled, tugging futilely at the hem of her dress, trying to make it long enough to hide the bulge in her tights from the trickle of students walking past them to their rooms, eyeing their former RA and snickering.

"Auntie Monica!" Hannah whined, tugging at Monica's dress. "You hafta check her bag! I know she took that necklace, and the earrings, and..!"

"Nice try," Monica scolded, "but Sydney already warned me you wanted those, so if you don't cough them up after we get home, you're in for a long trip over my knee, and an even longer one into the corner!" She shook her head at Syd, who responded with a knowing, sympathetic look, as she did her best to hide her relief that Monica hadn't asked to peek into the bag she'd also bought for Syd just to check. "If you ever want to visit, I'd be more than happy to have you back, too."

"Sure," Syd nodded. "That might be fun."

Hannah groaned her disagreement, earning a swat on the bottom. "We'd better get going... I want her to visit all of her professors to apologize in person for any bad attitude I'm sure she showed them at some point or another. Say bye-bye, Hannah."

Hannah crossed her arms defiantly, until she was given another smack on the diaper, this one far harder. "Bye-bye," she mumbled.

"Bye-bye, Hannah," Syd waved. "Happy New Year!"

She flopped down on her bed, satisfied, giggling to herself smugly until she heard a knock on her door. She hopped up to answer, thinking it could be Monica, having forgotten something.

Instead, it was Amber. Instantly, Syd felt her face warm and tilt downwards towards the floor, remembering how the Amazon had caught her, had started off this whole chain of events. "H-Hi," she managed to say. "D-Do you need something?"

"I was just coming by to let you know that Hannah is going to be... indisposed... next semester," Amber replied. "So I've been asked to take over as the RA for this floor. And I'm going to be keeping a very close eye on you... If I hear a single complaint about you, or I see one stain on your sheets as you're coming back from doing your laundry, I'm sending you straight to the littles' dorm... After I spank you and diaper you myself."

Syd wished she could believe she had nothing to worry about, and, prior to Thanksgiving, she probably wouldn't have... The warmth that began to spread through her Pull-Up from fright as the song from the walker began to play in her mind to comfort her, and the almost irresistible urge to slip her thumb into her mouth made her less certain that was going to be the case, even before she closed the door, sat down at her desk, feeling a far too familiar mushiness in the seat of her pants.

She'd spent weeks eating babyfood and drinking breastmilk, being treated like a toddler... Even after she'd revealed the 'truth' to Monica, and they'd put a stop to that, as much as they could without alerting Hannah and spoiling the New Year's Eve surprise, there hadn't been enough time to totally reverse all of the damage that had done, if that was possible at this point, though of course she'd claimed, to Monica, that she was just about there, to ensure she would allow her to go back to college on her own.

She'd thought she'd have plenty of time to recover on her own... Now she was going to have to go through that under the nose of someone who hated her, who had caught her stealing from her, who wanted nothing more than to have a reason to send her off to the littles' dorm to go back to being treated like a baby, full-time, with no hope of talking her way out of it like she had with Monica, no easy scapegoat like she'd had with Hannah, no way to explain away her accidents besides telling the whole story, which she suspected was not going to get her much sympathy once she said why she'd had to go along with Hannah's plan in the first place...

Maybe, she thought, squirming in her messy pants, thumb finally sliding between her lips, she should have stayed with Monica and Hannah after all...

I would've guessed that, in Monica's opinion, Syd was too much of a baby for college regardless of what happened in the past or whatever she decided to do with Hannah.
