"Excuse me?" Power Girl called out as she came in for a landing, frowning as she saw that, indeed, her information had been correct. "Who exactly do you think you are?"

It was, she felt, a totally fair question. Thanks to the multiverse, and all the ensuing shenanigans that could cause, she couldn't automatically assume that this was anything sinister... Her instincts, however, were screaming that something was off, and the scene in front of her was certainly uncanny.

The imposter turned, its motions strange somehow, not quite natural, in a way that put Kara on edge. It didn't prove that they were evil, or even had ill intentions... But it did put her on guard. "Who are you?" she demanded, more forcefully.

Not a word came out of the imposter's mouth. There was a chance that it was her from a different universe, here to warn her of something, or ask for her help... She didn't want to jump to any conclusions. The longer she stared, though, the less likely that sounded. Why wouldn't the imposter have spoken up by now? Why was she just standing there, staring?

And why did it look the way it did? It was a good copy, for the most part, which was one reason for Kara wanting to give her benefit of the doubt, but it wasn't perfect... For one thing, the hair wasn't the right color at all, brown instead of blonde. That was something that could be changed easily, obviously, and that on its own wasn't enough to prove anything... That, combined with the weird way that the imposter moved, its silence, however, did make her almost positive that this wasn't a friendly visit.

"I'm going to ask you one more time," Kara stepped closer. "Who are you, really?"

Suddenly, the imposter's body jerked forward, throwing a punch straight at Power Girl's face. Kara stepped back, avoiding it without a problem, even managing to get in a pose, hands on her hips as she gave the imposter a coy smile. "That's not a very nice way to introduce yourself," she said. "All I want to know is your name."

The imposter shook its head, ever so slightly, its lips moving in an unnerving manner; after that first attack, Kara wasn't going to fall for that, wasn't about to move closer to see if she could work out what - if anything - it was trying to say. It was probably a trick, something that seemed more plausible the longer this encounter went on.

"I'll give you one more chance," Power Girl declared. "You can tell me what you're doing here, you can leave... Or we can do things the hard way. It's up to you."

The imposter lunged at her again, flailing wildly. It was almost laughable to call it an attack, but the intentions were very clear. "All right, then," Kara shrugged, clenching her fists. "The hard way it is."

Kara was surprised as the next swing came, much harder and faster. "Oh, are you done playing around now?" she raised an eyebrow. "Trying to lull me into a false sense of security, huh? Well, fine... I guess I won't play anymore, either."

There was definitely still some awkwardness in the imposter's movements, but it was almost like it was getting used to its shape, growing more familiar with how to use it. Was it a shapeshifter, borrowing her form for some nefarious purpose? The precursor to an invasion of body snatchers? She wished she knew, to give herself more of an idea of what to prepare for... If it wasn't going to talk to her, however, there wasn't a lot she could do, other than beat it and hope it would be more receptive to her questions then.

Or more receptive to someone's questions... She had other things to take care of, so she'd be more than happy to drop the imposter off the person who had tipped her off. She'd requested Power Girl drop off whatever she found at her headquarters, if she turned out to be right, and she was surely more equipped for extracting information than Kara.

Could it be copying her as it watched her fight? Learning her moves? The thought made her uncomfortable, made the possibility that this was a part of something bigger feel more real... If she didn't win, if she let this thing get away, then who knew what would happen? It could keep traveling around, battling other superheroes, copying their techniques until it was unstoppable...

That made her all the more determined to win, using all of her Kryptonian strength, especially once she realized that the imposter could take it, that whoever, or whatever, it was was shockingly resilient. Thankfully, it didn't appear to be able to fly - though she did see it try a time or two, after she'd done it, appearing to hover in the air for a moment or two before its feet returned to the ground.

In the end, while it did take much longer than Kara anticipated, and wore her out more than she would have expected, thanks to how hard a task it was to put the imposter down, and convince it to stay there, she did win, carrying her defeated foe back to her informant. "Be careful," she warned. "She's tougher than she looks."

"She looks pretty tough," her informant said. "I mean... She look like you, so..." Kara chuckled, not above letting herself enjoy a little flattery, especially after that victory. "Point taken, though. Good work.”

Kara nodded, flying off to continue her patrol. It might have been a bit reckless, not giving herself time to rest, but it was unlikely that she would be up against another battle like that today, and the people of the city needed her. Foiling a robbery or stopping a mugging would be child's play compared to what she'd already done, even if it was a hair more difficult while she was so tired.

She didn't expect to hear anything back about the imposter for a while, potentially a few days; to her surprise, her informant contacted her later that day, asked her to meet back at the same place where she'd had the fight.

Power Girl returned to the park, even more stunned by what she was when her informant arrived. "Wait," she couldn't help smirking. "Is that her?"

"It is," her informant gave her captive a gentle push, sending it stumbling towards Kara. "I hope you don't mind me dressing her like this... It felt appropriate, somehow... And it isn't like anyone will mistake her for you now. Her little illusion is starting to wear off, as you can see."

The girl pouted, staring down at her feet. She seemed so much smaller, so much weaker... Part of that was her new outfit, of course, a mockery of what she'd been wearing before, of her attempt at stealing Power Girl's identity. Her iconic leotard had been reduced to a crop top, ending well short of the girl's belly button, neither it, or the cape, doing anything to hide the bulky, white diaper around her waist, close enough to the same shade as her shirt to make it seem like it was a part of her uniform. A copy of Power Girl's belt hung over the diaper to further the illusion that this pathetic little girl truly thought this get-up made her look like the real Power Girl.

And that was definitely no longer the case anymore. Her brown hair was longer, and her breasts were far, far smaller, a fact that was made obvious by the cutout from Power Girl's uniform, that remained on the the new version the imposter had been given, even with how much less she had to show off. She appeared shorter, too, but that was probably due mostly to her slumped stance of resignation, and her new, flat booties falling short compared to the heel on Power Girl's boots.

"I suppose you're right, there," Kara agreed.

"She has something she'd like to say, too, don't you?" the informant gave the girl a pointed look.

"I-I'm really sorry," the imposter sniffled, her thumb sliding into her mouth. Her voice sounded similar to Kara's, but a little higher, squeakier, more pitiful.

"Oh, you poor little thing." Kara didn't feel too bad, making fun of her, after everything that had happened, intentionally leaning forward to emphasize their new disparity in heights, squeezing her arms together to ensure the girl got a good view of her ample cleavage when she saw the way she was staring, shifting in place uncomfortably. "This just goes to show you... Crime doesn't pay."

The girl whined, and Kara's eyes widened as she realized the crotch of her diaper was starting to grow discolored, to sag slightly. Was she seriously peeing her pants, right in front of Kara?! "I guess those aren't just for show, huh?" she gave the diaper a pat, watching the girl squirm, cheeks bright red.

"Definitely not," her informant confirmed. "All it took was dragging her to my bedroom, putting her over my knees for one little spanking, and she was piddling her pants across my lap, willing to do, and wear, whatever I told her to in order to make it stop... With the glamour of your power wearing off, she didn't stand a chance, even against me!"

It was a little hard to believe that the person who had given Kara that much trouble would be so easily defeated again by this woman with no powers, but the evidence was clear... Here she was, standing in the middle of the park where she'd fought Kara, wearing a soggy diaper that was on full display, and making no attempts at hiding it.

And, just to cement it, as Kara and her informant spoke, the girl stood there, not trying to run away, sucking her thumb and clinging to the hem of the informant's shirt, like a toddler afraid of being separated from her mother... Until, out of nowhere, she squatted down, her face starting to turn red. "Wait," Kara tilted her head. "Is she...?"

That's when she heard the soft grunt, smelled the beginning of an odor that she could tell was about to get far stronger. She peered behind the girl, eyes widening when she saw a lump forming there, then rapidly expanding as the girl pushed harder, seemingly helpless to stop it, and certainly having made no moves towards heading to the bathroom Kara could see in the distance, or even asking if she could.

"She is," the informant gave the girl's diaper another pat, earning a squeak and a fidget from the girl as she continued to fill her pants. "I had a feeling she would.... That's another reason I put her in this. Sometimes, you can just tell, you know? And I knew from the start that this was where she really belonged. Isn't that right, sweetie?"

The girl didn't try to deny it - what point would there be in that now? - simply nodded and mumbled, "Yes, Mommy..."

Kara did feel a bit of remorse by the time her conversation with her informant had ended, both of them perhaps taking a little too much joy in teasing the poor thing. They still didn't know for certain what her plan had been, but Kara's informant seemed to believe that it was, indeed, villainous, which soothed most of Kara's guilt.

"I can't be positive yet," her informant warned. "She's a pushover about most things, but she still seems scared enough of whoever she was working with that she won't betray them, even for me... I was able to get a location out of her, though, and I think it would be worth checking out..."

Kara hesitated. If there were more of the imposters in there, waiting for her, she wasn't sure she could handle them... Taking a break from her patrol for this meeting had helped, but she wasn't back up to full strength again. On the other hand, if there were more of these things, they'd know something was up when this one didn't return, and they might move on to somewhere else, and they could lose track of them...

"Okay," Kara nodded. "I can do that."

If she played her cards right, she wouldn't have to do any fighting... She could sneak in, get an idea of what they were plotting, give them a false sense of security that the one they'd sent out to deal with her had succeeded, then, if need be, return with backup later. "Maybe I should darken my hair a little," she mused. "That would make me look more like her."

"That's an excellent idea," her informant told her. "I can help you with that, if you want."

"I'm not sure it's me," Kara shrugged, looking at herself in the mirror afterwards. "But it should get the job done."

"Exactly," her informant agreed. "We'll get you back to your old self when you're finished up. I wish I could go with you to lend a hand, but..."

"You have your hands full here," Power Girl smiled. "You've been plenty of help already.... I never would have known about all this without you."

"I like to do what I can," the informant said modestly.

Power Girl headed to the location, doing her best to stay calm, to project the confidence of someone who had just beat one of the most powerful heroes in the world, and was ready to brag about it to her partners in crime. The building looked dark and dingy and dirty, but if she'd learned anything today, it was that appearances could be deceiving.

The door was unlocked, so she let herself in, and was debating whether to call out to let whoever was there know she had arrived, when something whipped out of the darkness, wrapping around her wrist. She yanked her arm back, but, to her surprise, it didn't come, getting hauled upwards instead.

"Kryptonite!" she gasped. If she hadn't been so tired from her fight, perhaps she could have broken free... Now, she was helpless, especially after the next rope shot out, ensnaring her other arm.

"You're making a mistake!" she shouted into the darkness, with as much authority as she could muster to her voice. "I beat her! I defeated Power Girl!"

"Yes," her informant said with a grin, "you did." On either side, she had a young woman, each dolled up in a babyish dress, too short to hide the bulging diapers they clearly had underneath.

Kara's mind raced; was this another imposter?! Should she treat it like one, or assume that it was the informant, with a couple of her patients for some reason...

"You don't get it, do you?" the woman shook her head, stepping forward, reaching into her coat and pulling out an oversized pacifier gag, pushing it into Kara's mouth, fastening it behind her head. "I really did know from the start that you'd be perfect for my collection, dear... And you've proved me right today.”

She looked to one of the girls, who nodded, the ropes and paci-gag turning invisible, though Kara could still feel them there. Suddenly, Kara recalled the imposter, her silence and the strange way she moved when she had encountered her, how it was almost like she was being puppeted by someone else... And she thought about how she'd willingly dyed her hair to that same color the imposter's had been...

"That's right, Kara," the woman traced the invisible outline of the pacifier in Power Girl's mouth. "You're very powerful here... Of course, I've defeated another version of you, from another universe, one that goes by Supergirl, but I was afraid you might somehow be able to tell, and want to rescue her... And I wasn't sure if the same trick would work again, so I came up with something different...

"A couple of my babies had to lend me their powers, but good little girls are always happy to help out their Mommy. Teri here is going to stick with you, and help you lose your fight... Margo is going to open a time portal to take you back in time a few hours, and then, when you're all done there, she's going to open another one for us to go to the future for a bit so I can give you your proper training, and make a few..." Her finger moved downwards, to the cutout on Kara's costume. "...Alterations."

Kara's eyes widened as it all started to fall into place, thrashing harder against the ropes. "They're very impressive," the woman said, "but I worry you'd feel too much like a big girl with them, and that's no good... Besides, getting rid of them was very useful in convincing you that you'd been dealing with an imposter all along, wasn't it? Don't fret, it'll be one little surgery, that's all... And I was even nice enough to let you keep something, instead of leaving you completely flat-chested. That's always on the table, though, if you don't behave yourself for Mommy."

Kara shook her head, tears springing to her eyes. This couldn't be happening to her! It wasn't possible! There was no way she'd been stupid enough to let herself be fooled by this woman, let herself get captured... She wouldn't be weak enough to allow herself to be turned into one of her little overgrown babies, toddling around and filling their diapers uncontrollably, totally obedient to her, willing to do anything she said... She wouldn't let herself be subjected to a breast reduction, to lose that symbol of her maturity, of her power as a woman...

Except... She already knew how that was going to end, didn't she? She'd seen what she was going to become... It might take a little time, as evidenced by how much longer her hair had been the second time she'd seen herself in the park, after Mommy had finished her training and brought her back in time again to send her down the path that led her here, and to taunt her, giving her a taste of her inevitable, total defeat, of how much of a baby Mommy was going to turn her into, running around in that parody of her costume, diapers exposed, too timid to even consider warning herself, or running off... Or using the bathroom anywhere but in her diapers...

"There we go," Mommy smiled, seeing the hopeless look in Power Girl's eyes. "That's right, Kara... There's nothing you can do about it anymore... You're going to be Mommy's baby, forever and ever... You already decided that when you won your fight earlier, and there's no changing that now."
