It seemed, at first, that they'd accepted her apology, and were happy enough with it. The outfit Lindsay had laid out for her the next day wasn't too bad, all things considered... Childish, yes, though more of what she'd expect from a schoolgirl, rather than a toddler. She hated that this was where she was, that she was grateful for that, but, knowing the alternative, and having had a hard time falling asleep the night before, worrying that they were going to push her further than ever, to prove she hadn't been lying the night before, she truly was.

"Look at you!" Charity smirked, seeing Tina all dressed up. "This is just like old times, huh? The little nerd, in her plaid skirts and sweaters... Were you wearing diapers underneath it all then, too?"

Tina blushed as Charity gave her bottom a pat. "N-No," she shook her head, quickly self-correcting to, "N-No, Miss Charity."

"Hmm," she raised an eyebrow. "I can't help but feel like something is missing... It's cute, but... Doesn't she look a little too grown-up?" she turned to Lindsay. "It is like old times, just not quite old enough."

"I could put her in Mary Janes instead of saddle shoes," Lindsay suggested. "That might help."

"No, that isn't it," Charity said. "Oh! I know!" She walked over Tina's crib, plucking out one of her stuffed animals, shoving it into her arms. "There! That's perfect!"

Tina fidgeted, looking at her reflection. Charity had been right... The skirt was long enough that, unlike her dress from the day before, she'd known she wouldn't be fretting the whole day that she was going to flash her teachers, or classmates. It had been a good feeling... And, even if she hadn't really dressed this way then, despite what Charity said, she did look like a high schooler... Or maybe a middle schooler, either of which was a big leap over preschooler, as her clothing lately had been reading.

The teddy bear did away with that. No middle schooler would have been caught dead with one of those, not around anyone but her closest friends... They were too busy doing everything they could to prove they were grown up now. "Y-Yeah, it's great," she said anyway, trying to make Charity happy.

"I'm so glad you agree," Charity told her. "Because you're going to be taking your little friend there around with you all day! That way, you won't get lonely. Your Auntie Lindsay told me you complained to her that you were afraid of having lunch with your friends because you thought they'd hear your diaper crinkling... But teddy won't mind, will you?"

"B-But...!" Tina wrinkled her nose, stomping her foot.

"Fussy already," Lindsay sighed. "She gets started earlier and earlier every day... Do you need another change already?"

"No!" Tina huffed. "It's barely been ten minutes!"

"That's more than enough time for you," Charity mocked. "Go on, prove it."

Tina was glad to do so, although, seeing her reflection as she did, lifting her skirt, putting her diaper on display, teddy bear clasped under one arm, made the outfit seem even more immature, whether she was proving anything with it or not... And, it turned out, she wasn't.

"Tina!" Lindsay walked over, pressing a hand to the crotch of the diaper. "Is this 'dry' to you?!"

Tina started to say yes, until she felt it, the slight warmth, the almost non-existent squish. It was tiny, surely no more than a dribble, nothing even a pair of grown-up undies couldn't handle... But she was, indeed, wet.

"This is why you're wearing those," Charity reminded her. "You're lucky you didn't make a puddle, or you'd be going over your Auntie's knee already, and you haven't even had breakfast yet!"

Tina wanted to stomp her foot again, to inform them there wouldn't have been a puddle anyway, but even before she was able to form the words, she realized how bad it was going to sound, her acting like an expert on how much the big girl panties she hadn't been allowed in for so long could hold before they leaked. So, instead, she sullenly sulked out a, "Sorry, Miss Charity," giving her teddy a squeeze.

Tina wasn't sure why the teddy bear was the last straw for her, but it was. Perhaps it was because it was so external, such an obvious symbol of childishness, that there was no way to explain away by claiming it was fashion. It was too late to shove into her backpack, too, which meant she was going to have to carry it around all day, stuffing it under her desk, hoping nobody caught a glimpse and asked why she had it...

Except, of course, she didn't. She made a valiant attempt at 'forgetting' it in Lindsay's car, but her babysitter had seen through it instantly, grabbing her by the backpack, holding her there as she opened the door, got it off the floor, shoved it into the smaller girl's arms.

That still didn't mean it was over, however. Lindsay was always there to meet her after class, but, with her own classes to get to, she couldn't take her to all of them. She did walk Tina to her first class of the day, and Tina spent the whole thing with the bear beneath her seat, in the back of the room, sweating harder than she normally would if her diaper was getting ready to leak, knowing the teddy would be so much simpler for people to spot...

After that, Lindsay could get her to the right building, but that was it. Tina had enough time to find a spot in the stairwell, or a janitor's closet, to tuck the bear away. Then, when class was almost over, she'd excuse herself to the 'bathroom' to fetch it, waiting obediently outside the classroom for her babysitter to show up.

"Class ended early," she lied, letting herself be led off to the next one. She had to hope she was able to find someone to let her borrow the notes from the last few minutes of all those classes, and she might regret it once she had to take an exam on whatever was covered, but, for today, it was worth it.

She did have to eat lunch with Lindsay, though. She always felt silly, sitting next to her, usually pretty soggy by then, dressed like a child, especially when Lindsay always looked so grown-up and fashionable... Today, Lindsay made her give the teddy bear its own seat, boosted by a few textbooks so it could see the tabletop - and everyone around could see it - which did nothing to make Tina look, or feel, more grown up, no matter how well hidden her soaked diaper was.

"I wonder if there's a bug going around," Lindsay mused, on their way home. "So many of your classes ended early."

"M-Maybe," Tina shrugged innocently.

"Strange it didn't happen with any of mine," her sitter observed. "But I'm sure it's just a coincidence."

Tina squirmed, the girl's tone making her certain that, even if she didn't know the truth, she suspected something was up. How was she going to prove anything, though? Was she going to take the time to talk to all of those teachers, ask them all if Tina had lied?

As it turned out, she didn't have to. She sent Tina to do her homework after a diaper change, and Tina did as she was told, not noticing her sitter taking the bear out of the nursery with her...

"Tina," Charity's voice boomed through the halls, Tina's first indication that the woman was home. "Get out here!"

Tina toddled to the living room, wondering what she'd done now... Only to see the teddy bear hooked up to the television with a cable, broadcasting a video feed of an empty stairwell.

"W-Wait, that's a nanny cam?" Tina blushed, thinking about how long the bear had been in her room, watching her, without her knowing.

"It was also a part of your outfit today," Charity reminded her. "And I'd say abandoning it in the open, where anyone could have stolen it, is not showing very much respect for it... Do you have any idea how much it cost?! Such an ungrateful little brat..."

"I-I didn't know...!" Tina protested.

"After you've given her so much," Lindsay sighed. "Maybe you ought to take some more of it away to help her see how much it really is."

Tina had almost forgotten about that threat by the next morning; the rest of her afternoon was taken up by an impromptu appointment with Charity's hairbrush, and a long bathtime that led straight into bedtime while the sun was still up, well before either of the other girls had even started to make supper.

She got her first, unpleasant, reminder when Lindsay changed her out of her soaked overnight diaper, dressing her in nothing more than a fresh diaper, a pink collar, and pink wrist cuffs. "Come on, Auntie Linds," Tina whined. "You're gonna get arrested if you take me to school like this!"

"You're an adult, supposedly, as you so love to tell me," Lindsay smirked. "So I think you'd be the one who gets arrested. But, if you behave yourself for once, I might find something else for you after breakfast."

Tina didn't want to spend the morning mostly nude, though she was glad to hear that her sitter wasn't being totally unreasonable... Until she started to head for the nursery door, towards the kitchen to pour herself a bowl of cereal.

"And where do you think you're going?" Lindsay asked.

"Breakfast," Tina managed to keep the 'duh' at the end silent. "You just said..."

"Solid food is a privilege," Lindsay told her. "I have your breakfast right here." She lifted up a bottle of milk. "Are you going to drink it, like a good girl?"

"Oh, come on!" Tina groaned. "I need more than..."

"I guess not," Lindsay shrugged, looping a finger under the collar, pulling Tina over to the wall, strapping her to it by the wrist restraints. "And don't worry... I made it extra special, just for you, to make sure it had everything a growing girl like you needs."

"Wh-What do...?" Tina tried to ask, but Lindsay just shushed her, pushing the bottle to her lips, forcing her to drink it all down. It tasted normal, no indication that it was anything more than milk, which was a good thing, the girl's words having made her worry.

"Wasn't that a yummy breakfast?" Lindsay asked, when the bottle was empty. "What do you have to say, Tina?"

"Th-Thank you, Auntie Lindsay," Tina said, eager for some clothes.

That eagerness quickly faded when she saw what they were. At first, she thought it would be like the day before... Then, Lindsay helped her into the skirt, and she saw how tiny it was. "Lindsay!" she squealed, so upset she forgot the correct way to address her for a moment. "Th-That doesn't..." She tugged at it, no amount of pulling enough to stretch it out to even come close to hiding her diaper. "I-I can't go to school like this!"

"You still haven't learned, have you?" Lindsay sighed. "You wanted some clothes so badly, and now you're whining about them already! You are just so spoiled..."

"No, I'm not!" Tina grumbled. "Just because I don't want...! H-Hey, waht are you doing?!" Lindsay opened up Tina's backpack, sliding the laptop out. "That's mine!"

"It is," Lindsay agreed. "But being able to use it is another privilege... And your bratty behavior means you're losing another one of those."

"I need that! All of my notes are on it, a-and I do all my homework with it, and...!"

"And if you can behave yourself, you'll get it back," Lindsay cut her off. "Until then, you can use paper and a pencil, and hope your professors will accept that for your assignments... And that you don't make me mad enough to make you use crayons instead."

Tina stared up at her, nibbling her bottom lip, seeing no sign that this was a joke, or a bluff. This was completely unfair... But there was nothing she could do about it, except sigh out, "Yes, Auntie Lindsay."

"Good girl," Lindsay patted her on the head. "Let's get going. We don't want to be late!"

She hadn't been bluffing about the outfit, either, no replacement skirt showing up once they got to school, forcing Tina to toddle to her first class, mortified, knowing everyone could see, and anyone with a younger sibling, or babysitting experience, would know right away what she was wearing. She was positive there was no way it could get any worse...

And then she found out what Lindsay had meant by 'extra special,' as her tummy began to cramp, almost out of nowhere, and, before she could stop it, she'd filled her diaper, right in the middle of class... And, thanks to her outfit, right in the view of everyone sitting behind her.

This series is my favourite, something about it not being fair to poor Tina...
