"You change me back right now!" Fae demanded, staring up at the shelf, looking higher, and more stuffed with toys, than ever, her stomach churning at the thought of how huge her task was. She was so upset by that, by trying to figure out how long it was even going to take her to pull this off, that she almost didn't notice how muffled her words were.

It wasn't until she crossed her arms, sulkily glaring at the bears, and felt her mouth automatically starting to suck, that it occurred to her what was going on, and, even then, by the time she did, she realized she'd already been doing it for a few minutes. Blushing, she reached up, felt the plastic shield, the ring dangling off the front... They'd given her not only a diaper, but a pacifier, too!

Fuming, she grabbed the ring and pulled... And nothing happened. The pacifier refused to budge, staying put firmly between her lips; if anything, she began to nurse it harder, the more she yanked at it. Her hands moved downwards, to the diaper itself, grasping for the tapes, trying to get her fingers under the sides... None of it worked.

She made an attempt to stand up, but her legs were too weak, sending her falling back to her padded backside every time, each one making her angrier and angrier, before she finally decided to do what she'd wanted to try while she was standing, sitting. She got a firm grip on the waistband of the diaper, pushed down... And got the same result as every other thing she'd done.

There was no brute forcing her way out of this... She was diapered and pacified, and was going to stay that way, apparently, until the bears were satisfied. She grumbled, stomping her feet in frustration, not used to not getting her way, especially when it was a bunch of stupid toys, things that she owned, that were denying her.

"Change me back now!" she ordered. The bears didn't move, of course, didn't bother to respond at all, simply watched, unblinking, as she melted down more and more, flopping down onto her tummy, kicking and pounding her fists on the soft carpet beneath her. She knew it wouldn't do her any good, but, in the moment, it was all she could do. "I'm not a baby! Change me back!"

Finally, she wore herself out, lying flat on the floor, the bears unswayed, and looking more intimidating than ever. "Can you at least let me stand up?" she muttered. "I can't even reach most of you!"

"Then play with the ones you can reach first... Then we'll see."

It was nice, in a way, to hear them again, to get confirmation she wasn't going crazy... Although, if she were trying to tell this story to anyone else, she doubted it would sound that way. Not that she ever would... There was no way she was going to admit to having been put back in diapers at her age, certainly not by a cabal of her childhood toys!

Her fit had accomplished something, though not much... She had jostled a couple bears loose, making them fall to the floor around her. Defeated, she picked one up, legs raising behind her as she stared at it. What, exactly, did they want from her? What would qualify as 'playing' to them? Could she get away with holding them for a few seconds, or did it need to be more than that?

She tried asking, but there was no answer, the bears probably not wanting her to try to half-ass her way through this by doing the easiest thing they'd allow. A lot of the bears she hadn't touched since she put them on the shelf, so picking them up would definitely be an improvement for them... Right? As much as she wanted to believe that, she knew it would only take longer if she did the bare minimum with all of them, found out they weren't satisfied, and had to start from the top... Or, rather, the bottom, since, on her hands and knees, she wasn't getting anywhere near the top shelf.

She looked at the bear in her hands again, the magnitude of her task fully hitting her. "I-I'm gonna call you... Beary." She rolled her eyes at herself; she hadn't even started yet, and she was already running out of names?! "What do you want to do today?"

Part of her hoped the bear would reply, give her something to work with. When it stayed silent, she jiggled it back and forth, bent forward to give it a 'kiss' through her pacifier, waited for anything that would let her know she was, at the very least on the right track.

Instead, the door opened. Fae turned her head, blushing, annoyed at her parents for coming in without knocking, and the knowledge that there was no way she was going to be able to hide her diaper before they saw her, much less the pacifier... But, to her surprise, it wasn't her parents after all. It was someone far worse.

"Hey, Fae!" Ashley grinned, standing in the doorway. "Are you all done with your little tantrum, cutie?"

"It wasn't a tantrum!" Fae sulked, wishing desperately there was something, anything, she could do to keep the girl from seeing her this way, splayed out on the floor, dressed like a toddler.

"No, of course not," Ashley chuckled, walking closer. "That's why we could hear you kicking and crying from the other room... We knew it was better to let you tire yourself out first. So... What's up, short-stuff? Do you need a change?"

Fae gave a squeal of horror, and indignance, as the younger girl knelt down, gave her diaper a pat... Except, it wasn't just a pat. Ashley was checking her... She thought there was a chance Fae could have actually used these stupid diapers!

Fae wouldn't have wanted anyone to see her this was, but Ashley might have been the worst. She was the next door neighbor, a few years younger than Fae... Fae had babysat her quite a bit when they were younger, first just hanging around the house while her mother was there, keeping an eye on her, then looking after her by herself while the girl's parents went on date nights. Ashley looked up to her, loved her... Fae, on the other hand, thought she was an annoying little kid, and only took the jobs because her mother made her, telling her that working would be good for her.

Ashley had moved in long after she should have been out of diapers, and, during the day, she was... At night, however, she still needed them, so, once Fae was old enough to stay past the girl's bedtime, she had to help her with that. She'd always tell Ashley it was fine, that she didn't think any less of her for having a bedwetting problem... But she'd tell her friends stories about the loser she babysat for, who still needed nighttime diapers.

She was nice enough to never tell anyone Ashley's name... Unfortunately, when she started high school as a freshman, while Fae and her friends were seniors, she was still recognizable enough from the stories, and the fact that she immediately latched onto Fae, thinking she'd help her make her way through her first year, that they all knew anyway, and rumors spread like wildfire that Ashley still wet the bed then - though Fae hadn't babysat her for a couple years, and had no idea if that was true or not - or even wore them during the day.

Ashley blamed her, of course... Who else could it have been? Nobody else at the school had any reason to know. Fae had felt bad about it... But not too much. It had finally got the girl to stop wanting to hang out every weekend, when Fae had her own, much cooler, friends to spend time with. She'd almost forgotten all about that... Until now, feeling the girl's hand on her diaper, hearing the crinkle...

"Still dry!" Ashley declared. "Good job, cutie! So, what has you so upset?"

Fae shook her head, blushing, wanting the girl to get away from her, and especially her diaper. She would have expected Ashley to be so pleased by this, at having a chance for revenge, finding her here this way... But, in a way, it was worse like this, with her treating it as if it was normal, like there was no reason Fae shouldn't be diapered, lying on the floor, playing with her dolls.

"Do you need a nap?" Ashley asked after a moment. "I bet you do... Packing is hard work! Even if the only packing you're doing is in your Pampers."

Fae tilted her head, confused, then turned bright red, realized what Ashley was saying. Just the implication that she'd ever do that was enough to leave the older girl mortified, wiggling her bottom in her diaper to confirm that, indeed, she hadn't, even though she was positive there was no way she ever could... Right?!

"Aww, I'm just teasing!" Ashley gave her a hug. "I don't mind changing your diapers, sweetie, not even when they're stinky! I'm gonna miss babysitting you!"

"No!" Fae protested behind her pacifier. "Y-You're not my babysitter... I'm your babysitter! You're the one who should be in diapers, not me!"

"Wow, you're really trying, huh?" Ashley smiled. "Keep it up, Fae! You'll be talking in no time! Although, here's a tip... It's better to do it with your binkie out." She gave Fae a wink, and, to Fae's surprise, picked her up, holding her on her hip. "Let's get you ready for your nap!"

"No!" Fae shook her head. "I don't need a nap!"

She was feeling tired, after everything, but a nap was not in her schedule... If she fell asleep, that was more time not playing with her bears, and, thus, more time stuck in diapers! Of course, she already knew Ashley couldn't understand her, and the girl gave no indication that had changed.

It was about the only thing that hadn't, however. The girl was still shorter than Fae, and yet, she hadn't seemed to have any trouble picking her up, carrying her like she would any toddler. Perhaps she'd been working out in the years since Fae had seen her... Or, more likely, this was another effect of the magic the bears had used. Ashley clearly saw her as a baby, and that would have been broken if she'd tried to pick her up, discovered she weighed more than her...

She felt so much smaller, more helpless, being carted around like this, feeling Ashley's hand on the seat of her diaper. And seeing the rest of her room definitely didn't help... She'd been so focused on the bears, on what she was going to have to do to hopefully put an end to this, that she hadn't bothered to look around, hadn't seen that all signs that a high school girl had lived here, before moving out, were gone. Her desk had vanished, replaced with a changing table, the desk chair switched with a high chair, and her bed swapped out for a crib.

They were sized correctly for her, which she hoped would snap Ashley out of her delusion, show her that this wasn't normal... But the girl took it in stride, laying Fae down on the changing table. "I don't need a change!" Fae reminded her, despite knowing she wouldn't hear.

"Here we go!" Ashley chirped, reaching under the table, pulling out a fresh diaper.

"I don't need it!" Fae kicked her feet in frustration.

"Uh-oh... Do you not have all the fussies out already?" Ashley asked, tickling Fae's exposed tummy, sticking out between the bottom of the Care Bears shirt, and the top of her diaper. "Hmm... Maybe I was right after all... Do you need to use your diapers, sweetie? Is that it? I know you haven't made a messy since I got here..."

Fae wrinkled her nose at the suggestion, glad there was nothing the girl could do to follow through on it... Until removed something else from under the table. Fae didn't know what it was at first, just saw a box; even when she removed an object from it, it simply looked like a small, plastic vial, capped at one end with a long, orange tip. When she looked at the box again, however, and read what it said, she shook her head, whimpering, begging, "No! Pl-Please! I-I don't need that!"

"Somebody's all worked up," Ashley teased, flipping Fae over onto her tummy, leaving her bottom sticking up, vulnerable. "Don't fret... You know how these go, silly! It'll only be uncomfortable for a couple minutes, and then it'll be over, and you'll feel so much better!"

Fae groaned, blushing as, in her wriggling, she felt an unfamiliar sensation in her diaper, a warmth that hadn't been there before... Had she wet herself?! It was the least of her problems at the moment, of course, though still worrying... Was it because she was afraid, or had the bears taken away her control, too?!

Even if she still had it, the enema she was about to receive - that was coming ever closer, as she felt a cool breeze, her diaper pushed down out of the way - would take it away, leave her in something far worse than the soggy one she was wearing now. Despite her smaller size, Ashley was easily overpowering her, couldn't understand a word from her mouth... There was no escaping from this...

"Oh!" Ashley suddenly exclaimed. "Your Mommy did tell me you had a dirty diaper this morning... You're probably fine, aren't you? Just fussy... As always." Fae let out a sigh of relief as her diaper was tugged back up into place, Ashley giving it a pat. "Oh, but you did have to go pee-pee, didn't you?"

Fae's cheeks burned as she was turned over onto her back again, having to look Ashley in the face after that discovery. "It's not too wet... I think you'll be all right, especially with your second diaper." She slid the diaper she'd gotten out under Fae, not bothering to remove the damp one first. "You know, Fae, I used to wet the bed, too, when I was way older than you... It was never as bad as you, though! You are just a regular fountain when you're sleeping! That's why we always have to double you up!"

Fae had no idea if that was true or not, but, since Ashley didn't appear to have any memories of Fae as a grown-up, there was no reason for her to be bluffing... And, while Fae had never - that she could remember, at least - been a bedwetter, those words echoed in her mind. How thorough was whatever magic the bears had used on her? When she was asleep, would Ashley's words become true?!

She didn't want to find out, so, after Ashley took off her shoes, socks, and shirt, giving her a bonnet, booties, and mittens instead, then locked her into her crib, she was determined not to fall asleep. "This isn't fair!" she mumbled to the shelf of Care Bears. "How can I play with you when I'm trapped here?!" But, if they cared, they didn't do anything to help, and the dark room, and soft, tinkly music Ashley had turned on for her, made it hard for Fae to keep her eyes open...

"Wh-What about you?" she looked around the crib, found a teddy bear there. "D-Do you count?" It wasn't a Care Bear, so she didn't think so... She tried to convince herself it did anyway, though, to make herself feel better about it, to try to justify playing with it, fighting to keep herself awake... And feeling her eyelids growing heavier and heavier, despite her best efforts...
