A one-off story commissioned by Mashugana.

"Hi!" Faye poked her head into the door of her girlfriend's office, giggling at the sight of her sitting there, looking so professional. "Happy Anniversary!"

Nico looked up, not quite able to hide her smile as the taller girl burst in, wrapping her in a tight hug, ending it with a kiss. "What are you doing here?" she asked once it was over. "I told you, I'm busy all day..."

"I know, I know," Faye sighed. "I just couldn't help myself! My last class ended, and I had a little time before work, so I thought I'd drop in. I was talking to your secretary, and..."

"Faye," Nico closed her eyes for a moment, looking exasperated.

"I wasn't, like, checking up on you!" Faye promised. "But it's our one month anniversary... I wanted to go out and do something... This only comes around once a month..."

Nico looked up at Faye's pout, seeing her fiddling with the arms of the flannel shirt tied around her waist. "I do, too," she admitted. "But this isn't a good time... Next weekend, we'll celebrate all the harder, okay?"

"I guess," Faye shrugged. "But your secretary said..."

"Faye!" Nico snapped. "It doesn't matter what she says; I have to get this stuff done!"

Faye felt tears stinging at her eyes, immediately reaching up to wipe them away with a sulky, "Fine!" as she hurried away, not wanting to let the other woman see her cry.

"Faye, I'm sorry!" Nico called after her, Faye ignoring her, rushing back to her car. Her phone buzzed in her purse a few seconds later, and she knew it was from Nico, saying the same thing, which only made her feel worse.

It was silly to be so upset, just like it was silly for her to get so excited over one particular day. They'd been together a month... That was going to be true for at least the next month. Even if they didn't celebrate it that exact day, it would be all right... She knew all that, and yet, the day still felt special.

'No,' she replied, once she'd calmed down a little, 'I'm sorry. I don't want to guilt you into spending time with me... I know you're sad we can't get together tonight, too.'

It was hard, sometimes, to remember they were the same age, basically. Nico was a good bit smaller than her, but she had her things together so much more, and seeing her there in her office had only cemented that. Faye had gone off, adventuring and seeing the world, after high school, was only getting to college now, after her parents had threatened to cut her off entirely if she didn't, juggling classes with a waitressing job she needed for extra cash, now that only the essentials were being paid for.

Faye didn't regret her choices, though, after hearing from Nico about how she'd struggled, at a much younger age, to work full time to pay for university while she was attending it, how she'd clawed her way up to her current position, reminded her of how easy she had it. She couldn't imagine what Nico really thought of her... She must see her an overgrown, spoiled brat, especially on days like today, when she over-reacted, and cried over the dumbest stuff.

Despite all that, Nico had stuck with her, at least this far... A month wasn't that long, but it had been quite a while since a relationship had reached that point for Faye. That was another way she was more immature than Nico, Faye thought to herself; Nico had just broken up with a very long-term girlfriend not a couple months before they'd met. Nico still hadn't told her much about the other woman, though she trusted that would come, eventually.... If she didn't screw things up first.

She only had a short shift that day, in the hopes that Nico's schedule might clear up before it let out. Of course, by the time she clocked in, she knew that wasn't going to happen, but she was still disappointed when there were no messages on her phone, outside of a few heart emojis and a, 'Next weekend.'

'You know,' she wrote back, 'we don't have to do anything... I'd be happy to just hang out and watch you work. I can be quiet, I swear!'

Obviously, Nico knew that was true, if unlikely... The month they'd been together was long enough to teach her that Faye had the ability to shut up, though not always the willpower to actually do it. She was even patient enough not to shush Faye too many times when they went to the movies together.

'Sorry, Faye,' Nico responded. 'I need to concentrate.'

Nico's secretary had told Faye there wasn't anything that urgent, that couldn't be moved around if that was what Nico wanted. Faye was doing her best not to take that personally, not to assume the worst, but it was getting harder the more, and more vaguely, she was brushed off. Ever since Faye had first brought up her grand plans for the anniversary, Nico had been acting like she was being forced to work late tonight, and over the weekend... Faye knew that wasn't true, that Nico didn't absolutely have to be there, although she was willing to believe she needed to prep for something big that was coming up.

Surely she could spare a few minutes, at least... Faye would have loved to slip into something sexy, and really show Nico what a distraction was, but she decided to be good, and true to her word. Nico was going to have to eat eventually, after all, so Faye got her takeout from her favorite restaurant, and some flowers, and headed back to her office.

It was a little scary, now that the sun was starting to set, and it was almost empty. She'd always felt intimidated by it, when she came to visit Nico, seeing all the people bustling around, but she definitely preferred that to this, when it was nearly empty, only security and the cleaning crew in sight, the sound of her sneakers squeaking on the tile floor echoing loudly in her ears.

"H-Hey, George," she waved, glad Nico had introduced her to the security officer, not knowing if she would have had the courage to march up to him in this abandoned office otherwise. "I'm just going up for a quick visit."

He smiled at her, then frowned. "Sorry, Faye," he said after a moment of clacking away at his computer. "She's not here."

"Well, where is she?" Faye whined, before realizing that, of course, he had no way of knowing, only seeing that her ID card had left the building. "Sorry," she blushed. "It's just..." She shook her head, not wanting to get into this whole thing here, with him. Her next question, 'When is she coming back?' would have been every bit as pointless as the first, so, instead, she sighed and asked, "Do you mind if I hand out here until she shows up?"

He opened his mouth, looking around. "We're not really supposed to, but... If you stay over in the waiting area, I don't see why not."

"Thanks, George," she nodded, sulking her way over, flopping down in one of the chairs there, her stomach rumbling as she smelled Nico's supper coming from the bag she set down on the table in front of her. She hadn't bought herself anything, not thinking she was hungry yet, until she'd had to deal with that delicious scent on the car ride over, and now while she waited. If she didn't have her own food, she wouldn't be tempted to stay as long, would show that she was being good and not planning to stick around and distract Nico...

And now, she wasn't even here! She'd made such a big deal about how she didn't have time to do anything... Except, apparently, whatever she was up to now. Had she gone to get food herself? She was always talking about getting stuff delivered, so Faye had assumed she do that, and that she'd be so busy she wouldn't think to do it until much later... If she had time to go out, why couldn't they have met up then? Faye wanted more, of course, but even a quick meal on the actual anniversary would have been enough to make her feel better about this whole thing.

Faye played on her phone, now and then glancing up to see where the janitors had gotten to as they slowly made their way across the lobby, tracking their progress out of boredom. She knew Nico's food was getting cold - though not if it would matter, if Nico had already eaten - but the longer she had to wait, the less she cared. This was definitely long enough that they could have had some time together!

She wanted to text Nico, to ask her what she was doing; that would ruin the surprise when she returned, however. And, possibly, tip her off... Faye didn't think Nico was cheating on her, didn't want to believe it, but that was where her mind wandered to as she was stuck there, squirming in the chair, feeling her bladder fill.

Finally, she couldn't wait any longer. "Could I just go to the bathroom?" she asked George. It seemed silly, asking permission, but she knew he was already bending the rules, letting him stay. "I'll only be a second."

He shook his head. "Sorry... They've already been cleaned. Besides, without someone who works here with you, I'm not really supposed to let you out of my sight, and..."

"I get it," she nodded, blushing. "Maybe I'll try again later..."

"Sorry," he offered as she grabbed the food and hurried out, back to her car.

She considered going to a gas station, using their bathroom, then staking out the parking garage, but that was crazy. Instead, she decided to go home, warm the food she'd bought for Nico up, and eat it herself. Maybe Nico had a good explanation for all of this... Nico's place was closer than hers, however, and, on a whim, she decided to stop there first. Sure enough, she spotted Nico's car.

What was she doing there?! Faye checked her phone, confirming there were no messages, nothing telling her that something had changed, that Nico was free tonight after all. There was a chance Nico was doing this to surprise her, that she was going to be showing up at Faye's apartment, after slipping into something more comfortable... But Faye didn't feel like waiting to see.

She stormed up the stairs, realizing, halfway up, that the bag of food was in her hands, though she was in no mood to give Nico anything other than a piece of her mind, banging hard on Nico's apartment door until, finally, she answered, holding the door open just a crack, standing there in only a robe, looking confused. "Faye? What are you doing here?!"

"I could ask you the same question!" Faye pushed past her, into the apartment, Nico trailing after her into the living room. "What the hell, Nico?! You know how much this meant to me, and you lied to me about being at work tonight! Are you even working over the weekend?! Or was that a lie, too?! I'm sorry if I'm too much for you, but you could have told me that instead of... Are you listening to me?!"

Nico had been glancing out the window the whole time, hardly acknowledging her, which only made Faye more upset. "It's hard to explain," she said, at last. "And now really isn't the time... I'm sorry about this, Faye, I am, but you need to get out of here."

"Why?!" Faye glowered. "Are you waiting on someone else?! Is that what you're looking for?!" Her stomach was twisting up in knots, recalling how she'd found clothes in the back of Nico's closet, clothes that definitely didn't belong to her, that were far too big for her... Nico had claimed they belonged to one of her former girlfriends, and they'd just never been picked up, but now, Faye couldn't help wondering if that relationship had ever actually ended.

"No, of course not," Nico rolled her eyes. "I'll tell you all about it..." she hesitated, a little too long, "someday. For now, you need..."

"No!" Faye shook her head, jabbing Nico in the chest a bit hard than she meant, pushing her back into her armchair. "You're going to tell me right now! Or..." she blushed, "in, like, two seconds, after I use your bathroom. After that, though, you are going to tell me everything, or... Nico?"

Outside the window, the sun finally finished setting, the last few rays of light fading away, as Nico begged, "Faye, get out! Now!" before grimacing, bending forward, hands wrapped around her chest.

"Nico?" Faye's eyes widened, kneeling down in front of her. "Are you okay?"

"G-Go," Nico's voice barely managed to squeak out, gasping like she was fighting for air, only making Faye more worried.

"D-Do I need to call an ambulance? A-Are you having a heart attack?" She set the food down on the floor, fumbling for her phone. "D-Don't worry, i-it's going to be okay..."

Someone reached down, plucking the phone out of Faye's hands, someone Faye would have assumed had to be Nico, since she was the only other person she knew to be there... But this hand was too big for that, bigger than Faye's, even. Faye looked up in confusion, letting out a shriek of surprise at what she saw.

"N-Nico?" Faye scrambled backwards, head shaking. It still looked like her, mostly, but Nico had grown, almost appearing too big for her chair, when, a moment earlier, her feet had barely reached the floor in it. Her hair had grown, too, from its usual short, professional look to long and flowing, faded from dark brown to blonde. Her robe, tied neatly before, was straining, ready to pop as she stood up, the bottom of it hardly keeping everything covered as she loomed over her girlfriend.

Nico pushed a finger to Faye's lips to silence her, her fingernails long now, rather than the closely-cropped ones Nico normally kept, perfectly painted a soft pink. She smelled like cookies, and what Faye thought could have been baby powder, although it had been a while since she'd had any occasion to catch a whiff of that first-hand.

"Wh-What are you doing?!" Faye squealed, despite the finger in front of her mouth, as Nico's other hand reached down, began to unzip her jeans. "N-Nico, we need to talk about this..."

Nico's eyes narrowed as she got Faye's pants open, fingers curling into a fist, grasping the girl's underwear. "H-Hey!" Faye exclaimed, her panties pulling tight between her legs, eyes watering as she was lifted up onto her toes, nearly up off the floor, before finally clattering back to the ground, relieved. "Wh-What the hell?!"

Nico's eyes glimmered, Faye blushing, both from the vicious front wedgie she'd just been given, for no apparent reason, and from the realization of why it had ended, the sight of her undies, ripped in half, dangling from her girlfriend's hand. Nico shook her head, grabbing Faye by the forearm, dragging her out of the living room.

"Let me go!" Faye tried to dig in her heels, to pry Nico's hand off of her, but nothing worked as she was manhandled through the apartment. None of this seemed possible... She hadn't worked up the courage to ask yet, though she was pretty certain, if she wanted, she could pick Nico up off the floor with very little problem... Now, Nico was towering over her, and Faye was no match for her.

Nico yanked Faye to a door she'd always claimed was storage, that was too crowded for them to even go inside, one huge hand jiggling the knob before shoving it open, the lock making no difference whatsoever. Inside wasn't piles of boxes, or an artificial Christmas tree, decorated and wrapped up, ready to be pulled out to the living room when the time was right, like Faye had assumed was here...

This was a nursery. If Faye had needed confirmation that the scent had been baby powder, she got it now, the smell invading her nostrils as she was hauled inside. The beautiful hardwood floors of the rest of the apartment were covered in soft, fluffy rugs, and it was packed with baby furniture, everything she could imagine a toddler needing... Except, this was all far too big for a toddler. It was sized much larger, almost like it was meant... for her.

"N-Nico, what is this?!" she wailed, wrinkling her nose as her girlfriend's free hand, Faye's underwear still dangling between its immaculately manicured fingers, cupped her chin, squeezing her cheeks lightly, Nico shaking her head at her before picking her up, as easily as Faye had imagined she could normally do to the other woman, plopping her down onto the waiting changing table.

Faye had been so overwhelmed by everything else, she hadn't noticed the straps, until Nico wrapped one around her wrist, locking it in place. She did her best to keep her other hand free, but, of course, she was no match. She tugged, heart pounding all the harder, feeling how sturdy the restraints were, how unlikely she was to get away, while she watched Nico strut over to the empty diaper pail, tossing her ruined panties inside.

"N-Nico?" Faye tried once more as the woman walked back, starting to untie her shoes. Nico shook her head, lunging forward, making Faye flinch as those nails, practically claws, reached towards her... Then down, to the shelf beneath her, producing an oversized, pink pacifier. "N-No, Ni...!" She was silenced, the nipple pushed between her teeth, forcing her tongue downwards, filling her mouth almost entirely, leaving her unable to so much as protest as she was undressed.

She was able to kick her feet, but Nico still got her shoes and socks off, then locked her down at the ankle with another pair of restraints. For a split second, Faye felt safe, thinking Nico had outsmarted herself, that she would never get her pants off now... Until Nico ran one of her fingernails down one leg of them, the fabric splitting open.

Faye whimpered behind the pacifier, squirming uselessly, as Nico stepped to the other side of the table, did the same there. She did her best to remind herself that if Nico wanted to hurt her, she'd had plenty of chances, that she could have used those nails on her at any time and hadn't, but the comfort was short-lived when her pants were tossed into the diaper pail, and Nico brought something else out from the changing table's shelf.

Her eyes widened, head shaking, groaning wordlessly, watching Nico unfold the thing, sliding it beneath her bare backside. It felt soft, pillowy, crinkling softly as she tried to wriggle away from it, tears starting to stream down her face. Nico squirted baby lotion onto her crotch, massaging it in far more gently than Faye would have thought her capable of in this form, sprinkling baby powder onto her, then tugged the garment up, taping it into place, putting Faye into a diaper for the first time in decades.

Faye nibbled at her pacifier, pushing her thighs together in shock, unable to stop from pawing at it once Nico had released her from her restraints, though that didn't last long, Nico yanking her shirt up and off, Faye's arms going up with it. Nico picked her up again, now wearing just a diaper, and set her down in the crib, tugging the side up with an ominous click before walking out of the room.

What was that?! Faye reached up, finally able to grab the pacifier's ring and use that to pull it free. Nico had never mentioned anything like this to her, had never told her this was something she was into... Of course, it was pretty obvious that this wasn't normal, that something had changed...

The crib bars were tall, although Faye thought it was possible she could have climbed out, with enough time. She had a feeling Nico was going to be coming back, however, and that she wouldn't like finding her out; indeed, a few minutes later, Nico returned, now dressed in some of the clothes Faye had seen in her closet, that had supposedly belonged to her old girlfriend. She  was in a long, polka-dotted dress, buttons running up the front, a frilly apron over top of it, looking quite old fashioned, especially with the new, longer, blonde hair.

"Nico, what...?!" Faye tried again, Nico glaring at her to shut her up. Faye wasn't sure why it had taken her that long to figure it out - other than the panic and fear that had been filling her mind since this started - but, finally, she figured out why. "S-Sorry," she said. "Not Nico..." She looked at the woman, at how she was dressed, then down at herself, blushing as she guessed at what she wanted to be called instead. "M-Mommy?"

Nico beamed proudly, swooping over, lowering the bars of the crib and scooping Faye up into a hug, carrying her back to the living room, grabbing a few toys from the room on her way out, surrounding Faye with them on the floor, perching on the chair she hardly fit into and watching her. "Ni... Mommy, I'm not a baby," Faye insisted, trying not to think about how much she felt like one, sitting there in nothing more than a diaper, after seeing how helpless she was to stop from being put into it. "I-I'm sorry about today... Look!"

Her eyes lit up, spotting the food she'd brought for Nico. She picked up the bag, offering it up. "I-I got this to apologize for... W-Wait, what are you doing?!"

Nico had looked confused for a moment, before she smiled, and started to unbutton the top of her dress. Faye wished she didn't know what was happening, that she could pretend it wasn't obvious, but there was no doubt in her mind, after seeing what the creature was doing now, after making the connection between Faye and the food.

"N-No!" Faye squealed, wrinkling her nose. "Th-That's for you, not me, Mommy! I-I'm not hungry!"

But that didn't stop Nico from picking her back up, despite Faye's attempts to scramble away, lifting her up, towards her open dress, and the large, swollen breasts underneath, pushing Faye's protesting mouth onto one. Faye whimpered as milk began to flow out, warm and sweet. And, to make matters worse, her bladder, already full before any of this had started, was overwhelmed by the rush of new liquid.

Faye blushed, squirming as she felt a trickle of wetness in her diaper, slowly growing, despite her best efforts, as her tummy filled with more and more of Mommy's milk. She'd always known that Nico must see her as immature, probably as no better than a child... But was it really this bad? Did she think of her as a baby? After this, there was no way she couldn't...

"Y-Yes, Mommy," she accepted meekly, once Mommy decided she was done, setting her down on the floor with her dollies, diaper wet, belly full, with a pat on the head. "I-I'll be good..." What choice did she have, after all?

She didn't get to stay up for much longer before Mommy decided it was bedtime, carrying her back to the nursery for a fresh diaper, tucking her into the crib and locking the side in place. Faye spent a little while, staring up at the bars, wondering if she really could climb over them, and then a while longer wondering what Mommy would do to her if she did, and letting herself drift off instead.

She was woken the next morning by the sound of Nico's voice. "No, no, no..." she was exclaiming, Faye's eyes slowly, sleepily opening to the sound of the woman scrambling a few rooms over. Nico burst into the nursery, clothes hastily thrown on, looking almost as embarrassed as the diapered young woman in the crib. "Oh, Faye... I'm so sorry... I was hoping that was a dream..."

She let Faye out of the crib - having to get a step-ladder to reach the latch - and charitably pretended not to notice the wet diaper around her waist as she let her go get cleaned up in the bathroom.

"I owe you an explanation," she said when Faye emerged, wrapped in a towel, into the kitchen, where Nico was making breakfast. "I-I really hoped you wouldn't have to find out... I mean, obviously, eventually you would have, if we stayed together long enough, but I thought maybe by then I'd figure out how to break the curse, or... I don't know." She shrugged, sighed.

"Curse?" It sounded silly, but, after the previous night, it made as much sense as anything else.

"I've told you a little about my last girlfriend," Nico slid a plate of food onto the table in front of Faye. "I said things were... complicated. That thing you saw me turn into... She did the same thing. Whenever there was a full moon, she'd become that, and all she wanted to do was..." She blushed, shrugging. "Wh-Whatever I did to you last night, I hope it makes you feel better, knowing she did the same to me many, many times."

Faye couldn't help herself. "I bet you looked adorable in diapers," she giggled.

Nico gave her a look to shut her up, almost as effectively as the pacifier the night before. "I loved her, so I put up with it, but eventually, we drifted apart... She'd, umm... fed me..." the redness in her cheeks darkened, "and that bonded us, somehow. No matter where I went, she was always able to find me when she changed, and take care of me. The only way we could find to break the bond was for her to share the curse with me..."

"So you're a... Were-Mommy now?"

Nico rolled her eyes, though she had to admit, "I guess that's one word for it... I-I mean, I don't really have a better one, so I suppose it'll have to do. As long as I stay away from people, it's no big deal... I ordered and assembled that whole nursery, but that's been about it..."

"But I wouldn't listen to you, and followed you home," Faye finished for her. "I'm sorry... I-I should have respected your space, and..."

"Are you serious?" Nico scoffed. "I'm sorry! I can't believe I did that to you! I-I understand if you want to break up... I swear, though, it only happens on the nights of the full moon, otherwise I'm totally normal... If you stay away from me then, it's okay... And I promise, I'll make it up to you the rest of the month... Well, unless... M-My memories are always fuzzy after... I-I didn't... f-feed you, did I?"

Faye hesitated for a moment. Last night had, of course, been one of the most humiliating things she'd ever been through... But, at the same time, once she was over the shock of it, there had been something nice about being looked after, knowing that Mommy was there to take care of everything...

Maybe that was the bond Nico had mentioned; perhaps it worked both ways, changing both of them in some way. Or maybe she was even more immature than she'd realized, and there was a part of her that just liked this anyway.

"You can tell me," Nico told her. "You should tell me... If I did, we need to figure something out, or I'll find you, no matter where you are, and all that stuff is going to happen again..."

"No," Faye fibbed. She wasn't sure why - Nico was going to find out the truth that night, since it was still a full moon - except that she didn't want to take any chances that Nico might find a way to keep it from happening. Nico might get mad at her the next morning, but Faye would rather have that than have Mommy angry with her. "Nothing like that."

"Thank goodness for that," Nico sighed. "Though I do remember... I think I'd better go buy you some pants, huh?"

"Yeah," Faye smirked. "Unless you want me to walk out of here in just a diaper and shirt."

Nico looked more embarrassed by that prospect than Faye felt, which just encouraged Faye more. The thought of doing it really didn't bother her that much

at all... Was it because the of the Were-Mommy's bond, or had this been inside her all along, without her knowing? Had Nico stuck with her old girlfriend for so long because it had made her feel this same way?

"I am so going to make up for all of this next weekend," Nico promised. "We're going to have the best month anniversary ever!"

"Okay," Faye smiled, but, inside, she had a feeling she was going to end up enjoying the rest of this weekend even more...
