She decided to wait until the end of her next weekend at Lindsay's to do it, thinking she should give the woman what she wanted one more time before taking the plunge. Once the time came, however, she wasn't sure how good a choice it had been, since it was hard not to feel intimidated, telling Lindsay she needed to talk to her about something right after 48 hours of being babied by her.

But she had to do it. She didn't want to lose Marina over this... She truly felt like she had something with the other girl. "Listen," she sighed, squirming on the sofa she usually wasn't allowed on, since babies in diapers didn't use regular furniture. "I know we had an agreement and all, but... This has to end."

She explained things as best she could, while trying to hide how nervous she was feeling. She was pretty sure Lindsay would understand, that, despite what people thought at work, her strictness didn't mean she wasn't a good person. She'd spent enough time with her to be pretty certain that was true... Unless, of course, Kelly backing out was what triggered her into being the monster everyone thought she was.

Lindsay listened with a fairly blank expression on her face, not giving Kelly much to go off of, in terms of what to expect. When she finished talking, however, the woman nodded, patting her on the knee. "Relationships are important," she said, "and honesty is a big part of maintaining them. I respect that. As much as I'll miss these weekends, I wouldn't want to stand in the way of what you have going with this girl... So, you're free." She smiled, looking a bit sad, but understanding. "Oh," she spoke up again, after Kelly thanked her, and got up to leave, "by the way... Just so you know, that day, with the coffee... I wouldn't have fired you anyway. You offered to do anything, though, and an important lesson for any up and coming businesswoman is never to turn down an offer like that."

That revelation haunted Kelly the next few weeks; maybe Lindsay was lying, though she wasn't sure what the woman would gain from that. Could she really have avoided all those weekends as a big baby, if she'd apologized normally, rather than going overboard and assuming Lindsay was going to snap and throw her out over one moment of clumsiness?

She couldn't help wondering that, especially when she ran into Lindsay at work. As usual, Lindsay was completely professional to her there, giving no hints of what they'd shared, or that she bore her any ill will... But it was still quite hard not to think of her as Mommy, somehow even more so now that it was all over. In a way, weird as it was to admit to herself, Kelly actually missed her time with the woman, despite being fully aware she'd made the right call.

If Lindsay noticed, she didn't show it; Marina could tell something was bothering her, but Kelly couldn't explain what it was without telling her the whole thing, which would defeat the purpose of calling it off... And admitting that, somewhere in the depths of her mind, she had actually enjoyed getting diapered and taken care of, her every need catered to, her every moment planned out by someone else...

Then, one Friday, in a twist of fate, Marina sent her a text, telling her she was busy, and wouldn't be around that weekend. After doing that to her so many times, it was only fair for Kelly to be on the receiving end. She trusted Marina, didn't think anything was going on, but was hard not to consider that it would have been one of her weekends with Lindsay...

Almost as if the woman were reading her mind, Kelly got another text, later on that evening, from Lindsay herself. "You left a few things over here," it said. "Would you mind coming by to pick them up tonight?"

Kelly didn't have anything else to do, and, while she worried being over there might tempt her, whatever it was that she'd left might be better to bring back to her place when she knew Marina wouldn't be around to see. Part of her wanted it to be a trap, for Lindsay to be planning on forcibly dragging her back into their agreement, but that would just create more secrets, more possible issues.

Her palms were sweating a little when she knocked on the door, however, and she wasn't positive if it was from fear or excitement. Lindsay calling out, "Come on in!", and then, once Kelly had done so, "I'm in your old room!" didn't help chase the wild fantasies she knew she shouldn't be having out of her head.

When she pushed open the door, she was taken by surprise. Yes, Lindsay was there, looking every inch the Mommy Kelly knew her to be, even holding some of the children's books she would read to Kelly when she put her to bed. But she wasn't the only person. There, on the bed, in a diaper and onesie, a pacifier in her mouth, looking adorably bashful, was Marina.

"There you are," Lindsay smiled at her. "You're right, Marina is a very sweet girl... And now, you don't have anything you need to hide from her. So, come on... It's almost your bedtime, and you aren't dressed appropriately at all, are you?"

Kelly looked at the two women, wondering how they'd found one another, which one had approached the other... Then, deciding it didn't really matter right now. However it had happened, it was done now, and she felt a huge sense of relief, and even joy, as she stared at the image of the two of them, together, in front of her. "No, Mommy," she shook her head. "Will you help me fix that?"

"Of course, sweetie," Lindsay grinned. "Mommy is always here to help you."
