No matter how many times she told herself that, however, she still found herself hesitating when, at last, it came time to transform again. She could hear the commotion, just on the other side of the street, had heard the civilians running away shouting about how Spellbinder was attacking yet again... It was her duty to stop her.

She was sure the hardest part would be seeing Spellbinder's face, after going through all those dreams, knowing what the woman had done to her in those... She'd have to just ignore those memories, remind herself, yet again, that they weren't real... As it turned out, however, that was the least of her worries.

Cassi pulled the bracelet with the star charm on it off her wrist, muttered the magic words that allowed her to transform into it, feeling the power of the stars surge around her, changing her from the normal, shy student to the fearsome champion of justice, the Magnificent Fairy Warrior, Asteria. Her hair grew, shifting in color, the bracelet sprouting into her wand mid-air for her to snatch, with an impressive spin, and her clothes morphed as well...

Only, instead of her usual costume, they were... different. Very different. The shirt was the closest, although it was much simpler, less ornate, than it ought to have been. The skirt, to her horror, was completely wrong. It wasn't a skirt at all, in fact, but something she hadn't felt in years, at least not in her waking life... She stared down in shock, mouth agape as she saw a thick, bulging, white diaper there instead.

And, somehow, that wasn't even the worst part. She didn't really consider her wings as part of her costume - though they did only show up when she was transformed. They were a part of her, a beautiful pair of colored lights sprouting from her shoulders, the true source of her powers, with the wand as merely a way to focus it. This time, they were a pair of tiny, pink fairy wings, the kind a toddler might wear when she was playing dress-up.

She looked at herself, tears springing to her eyes. What was going on?! She couldn't be seen in public like this, much less fight crime! And yet... If she didn't, who would? She pressed her wand to her lips as she tried to think clearly, to decide what she should do - run into the fray now, dignity be damned, or try switching back to her normal self and then transform again and hope it worked correctly that time.

"There you are!"

Cassi jumped as she heard the words, spinning around, cheeks blazing, only to get even more embarrassed as she saw who it was. She'd heard Spellbinder's voice echoing through, overpowering her victim's, so she'd known it was one of the woman's minions - if she hadn't, the glowing, red eyes would have tipped her off - but this wasn't a bank teller, or a police officer... It was a little girl.

Cassi felt angry at Spellbinder for using a child to fight her, though she didn't have much time to think about that, as the girl fired a blast of fire at her, forcing her to dodge out of the way. It should have been simple, but the diaper was so huge and bulky, and she wasn't used to it, so she nearly fell flat on her face. Instinctively, she tried to summon her shield, to give herself a little time to think, but, of course, it didn't work, since her wings were fake.

"What is happening?!" she hissed to herself, barely dodging the next magical attack. More importantly, what was she going to do about it?! Most of Spellbinder's minions had the same, basic attacks, and they were usually simply enough to deal with... She couldn't let herself get taken down by one of them, especially one that was, physically, a kid! But how could she stop it? Her magic was gone...

Suddenly, the dream came back to her, especially the ending. It was only a dream... And yet... She blushed, so caught up that she very nearly got her wing scorched. She had, somehow, wound up in a diaper, just like in those dreams, and she wasn't able to use her powers... The last thing she wanted to do was use her diaper, right there, in public - especially now that the fight had begun, and spectators were beginning to show up, giggling at the sight of her new costume - with nothing to hide it, but if that was the only way to fight back, well, she had to give it a try...

Unfortunately, she'd just peed before she left school, so her bladder was empty. Her bowels, however, were quite full, since she hated using the school bathrooms for that... She whimpered, again wanting nothing more than to not have to do this. She had to free this minion from Spellbinder's grip, though, and hopefully even take down Spellbinder herself, if she hadn't run off already, like she usually did.

The girl seemed to know what she was doing, too, which made it even worse. She stopped her assault, grinning as she watched Cassi bend forward, cheeks red, and push. She felt something soft and mushy press against the inside of her diaper, and her nose wrinkled, despite feeling her wings - her real wings - appear. She stopped herself, not wanting to go any more than she had to, but, to her horror, as soon as she stopped pushing, the wings reverted to their useless form again.

Cassi stood there for a long moment, wiggling in her diaper, now, humiliatingly, partially used, as she could feel with every, tiny movement, finally understanding exactly what she had to do, although knowing didn't make it any easier to accept. Not only did her diaper have to be used in order for her to access her powers, she had to actively be using it... She gulped, staring at her opponent, for the first time not worried about accidentally hurting the possessed child, but rather about whether she'd actually be able to win this fight.
