I've been sick for the better part of the week - stupid flu - but I'm almost back to normal now.

I've been writing and working on mini-games during the week, and the PCs are rendering animations as usual.

I have already prepared the backend code for all special renders, 2D art, and gallery. I usually leave this bit until late development, but I wanted to have it done early, making it easy to add collectibles and lewd scenes as I develop the episode.

Mini-games

I wanted to talk briefly about mini-games today and likely at another time during this development cycle.

With Season 3, I wanted new ones and also to see over the existing ones.

The English mini-game has been fun and challenging, and when I thought about whether I should replace it or not, I decided to keep it. But I have updated the design and functionality for Season 3.

You can now type the words, as I know many of you always have wanted. You also type "cheat" or "quit" for their functionalities, and a simple press of the spacebar will shuffle the letters.

You can type any 6-letter word freely and even use backspace; it feels fast and responsive.

I streamlined the backend code while I was at it to make it easy to add new tests without having to rewrite stuff in the future.

And don't worry; I didn't spoil the actual letters for the episode 10 mini-game with this preview. ;)

On the other hand, the Math class is getting replaced by a new mini-game. I have completed the development of it, and I love what I created.

I don't want to show you the entire thing or spoil the gameplay, but I will tease a subset of it with this image.

On top of these, I have two other completed mini-games, one almost complete mini-game, and two planned ones that I'm working on.

Walkthrough

The walkthrough was updated this week, in case you missed it. You can find it here

Q&A

I also posted a Q&A post where you can submit your questions.

I have been reading your questions and writing answers to them this week. Given the many questions in the post, I have enough to write the Q&A session. So, if you have more questions, now's the time to enter them. I will remove the post next week and later post my answers for all patrons.

Update: Post is removed, thanks for submitting your questions.

Polls

The first poll for Episode 10 will be live this weekend. I figured we start with a bang and do the popular special render poll for the main girls.

Like Josy and Jill got a special render series in Episode 9, this time, it's either Isabella, Maya, or Sage who will receive one in episode 10.

Have a nice weekend

well that's annoying. Wish there was a way to simply turn it off

I would like the fighting mini game to be kind of like the tennis mini game that would be great!

Jamison

No. Although it would be cool if we could get upgrades to say disarm opponents, or some other advanced fighting mechanisms.

Jason

Is there any way to turn off mini-games ?

Take care doc

Glad you are on the mend. Thanks for the update. Also, as someone else that is doing another full playthrough I was just thinking about how nice it would be to type out the words when I was doing those tests and now it will be so in future installments. Thanks for that.

Hope you recover quickly. I got COVID the week of the episode 9 release and felt my worst the Friday it dropped and that weekend. Thankfully I was pretty much over it after about 5 days and one of the first things I did upon recovery was dive into episode 9. Thanks for the change to the English minigame. I enjoy that kind of game in general, so this just makes it total fun with no interface frustration getting in the way. All the best to you!

Get well soon, love the new content.

Episode 9 was phenomenal, can’t wait to see what is in store for episode 10. Lily has quickly become my favorite over the last 2 episodes.

This game has a more gripping story than most mainstream games out there lol. Just want to say thanks, I've played 20+ hours of the game and find myself coming back all the time. I am a Sally simp and her growing presence in the narrative is exciting. <3

This game has been like playing a good tv show, but i get to choose what happens, iv been playing way more than i expected to when i originally purchased the game, just to explore all the different paths and outcomes. episode 9 was awesome. i hope you get to feeling better.

Big A

I'm in the Josey and Maya path I love those 2 ( I have a Jill path the mc's mothers friends are in that path I think exciting to see more) keeping one open for a zoey development. But fantastic game it does play out like a tv show. Tv is seriously lacking today I'm a big fan of porkies , revenge of the nerds etc this is right up my street thank you Dr pinkcake. Dont push yourself flu is nasty hope your back to your awsum self soon buddy.

This or That

Alright! Back to school we go. Thanks for updating the guides.

I wish there was a way to toggle too. I have a number of replays and none are my original with the games.

Really? I have more red lights with her than I do Quinn! Quinn is damaged but wants love and is trying to protect herself. Lily seems to know exactly what she wants and girls I’ve known like her tend to mean it. If it were realistic the irony is that the MC needs to not care about wanting her in order to have a chance. The moment MC is obtainable emotionally she’s out.

Gary

In real life yes you would be right, but I must remind you this is a video game and doesn’t need to be that deep. She’s already hinted that she wants the mc without putting a relationship label on it. There are plenty of ways the story could be written for her to fall for the mc.

You are a great human being. Never forget it. You have influenced my life in a major way, and I love you for it.
