My comic “New Leadership Part 2” will be done this month

After 2 years I finished my biggest art project. With over 30 pages it’s bigger as all my other comics combined.

This journey taught me a lot and it would never be possible without you all. Thank you so much for the support and your interest all this time.

As I started the comic, I thought, I know some things about how to make comics or manga after I read over 10.000 pages in my life, for sure. Here and now is not the time to talk about all my technical flaws (this post would explode if I do xD). The essence is: I learned from it. That’s because I want to try a different approach with the next comics.

Things you need to know:

• 1. I will start with shorter comicsuntil I feel comfortable with my new workflow.
• 2. The comics will be finished in stages:

   a. First is sketching and planning all pages

   b. Second is inking (more clear line work)

   c. Then comes implementing dialogues

   d. Fourth will be the base colors

   e. and last the shading.

• 3. You will find a new “WIP comic” folderin the Dropbox. This folder will be updated but  nothing in it will be deleted until the comic is done.
• 4. The folder will be sorted in the different stages. Right now, you can find two folders for a new Raven comic and a Samus comic (commission). For now I’m finished with the sketch-phase and begun with the inking.
• 5. I will update the folder once I make significant progress. But not every time I will make a post about it. Once a stage is finished, I will make a post.

6. Additionally, there will be a new Discord room for every comic while I work on it. If you want to talk, speculate or point out mistakes feel free to do that in these chatrooms. After the comic is done these rooms will be closed up.
For starters, we have the #comic-wip-raven room.
The Samus comic will not get its own room because it’s a commission.

Attention: Because of these changes, I can not post a finished page every month anymore. We updated the Q and A-section accordingly.

Certainly not all of you are interested in works in progress or you don’t want to be spoilered but I hope you can see the perks like I do. Especially the more consistent quality is important for me and hopefully the comics will be finished faster.
