YouTube is Changing How Ads Work (Patreon)
Content
Hello my lovelies, you may have heard from other creators, but Youtube is changing how ads work, specifically they're removing some of the controls we creators have over ads. By the end of November creators will no longer be able to turn off post-roll ads (ads that play at the end of videos). This is a big problem for ASMR creators who mostly always have post-roll ads off because so many of you fall asleep to our content and don't want to be woken up by how ridiculously loud Youtube ads are. It won't affect any old videos, but will affect any new ones posted from November 2023 onwards. I'm really sorry if this is going to bother you, it's beyond my control. The only way to avoid post-roll ads on Youtube would be for you to pay for Youtube Premium where I still get revenue from your views or watch with an ad blocker though that means I won't make ad revenue from your views (though I have no problem with people using ad blockers). My Patreon does have my entire archive of audios that are accessible on the £5 and £10 tiers for streaming without ads and downloads of all the audios that you can keep for forever. Hopefully this won't be too much of a bother, there's nothing I can do about it, we can just hope maybe Youtube will change their mind. Just wanted to give you guys a heads up.
All my public audios are also available for streaming on my soundgasm, I didn't mention this in the matching Youtube community post because soundgasm has 18+ content on it and my Youtube isn't a 18+ space, but that is an option although I earn no revenue through soundgasm.
