Personally, I didn't feel like the product instead of the consumer in the games I played growing up, despite their interactive components and reliance on other people playing alongside me. MOBA games like LoL changed that, and it's shameful to admit that it took me a hot minute to shift my mindset and decide if it was really what i wanted to be doing with my free time. I still play video games, just not MOBAs anymore.
