LOL @Frost’s comments on wine

Wally Hackenslacker

Gotta say I share Frost's opinion on wine. As much as I like booze in genera, wine is one of the few exceptions. I've never found one that really did it for me that also doesn't cost more than what I make in a year per bottle.

I grew up pretty poor, so practically I got one new game a year, and maybe 3-4 pre-owned *cheap* games, so I became savvy as a result. I bought/read games magazines, I tested games mates had or swapped with them, I remembered lessons from bad purchases. These are all lessons I carry into my adult years. I wait for some games to come down in price and I look at reviews from people I trust (you guys mostly!) but there’s still a game a year on average where I trust the seller and are happy to buy early or pre-order, namely Nintendo and Kojima (go physical or from the source, a lot of physical goodies can sometimes be grabbed. My TOTK luggage tag served me well!). The best lesson people can learn is to avoid hype and to buy what will actually make them happier, not what they’re being told to, but it’s easier said than done.
