About KitKnight and future plans (Patreon)

Alright so after a lot of thinking and having to face the reality that KitKnight isn't being received as well as I hoped to justify a full time production I've decided to course correct a little bit. I tried something experimental and it didn't work out, it happens. 

So the Kickstarter has been cancelled and we'll be going in a more familiar and erotic focused direction.

The plan is to do one-shot animations with a structure similar to Matchmakers, so alternating episodes between a furry series and a pony series. I also wanna try a more loose and expressive style that I can produce quicker. 

The two series will be as followed:

Max Love (Furry Series)

This one will follow the dog character Max from the Shark Bait animation getting in all sort of lewd situations. The general theme of the series is him trying to live a peaceful normal life but always getting roped into sexual situations no matter where he goes. Wanna get a book at the Library? Horny librarian. Wanna get a muffin from the pastry shop? Needy chef who's just divorced her husband. Go on a camping trip? Wild tiger lady in heat, etc.

Tales from Lewdyville (Pony series)

This one will be set in the mlp universe and I'll try to keep the setting as close to cannon as possible. The general theme will be an Equestria where casual sex is seen as perfectly normal and no different then exchanging pleasantries or bits. Expect the ponyville resident to get into all sorts of comical situation where the solution most likely involves an orifice or two.

As for KitKnight, I'm sure the ones who've played it know how much love was put into it. It's clearly a passion project, something that I need to do as an artist and not someone trying to make money. I'll work on slowly on my own personal free time, for me. It will be simplified and sfw. If a new chapter comes out I'll post it here for those who liked it.

That's the plan for now. Thanks for sticking around during this experimental time, it means a lot.

That is a massive shame. I really liked having a full detailed game, and I hate to see it neutered like this.

I hope to still work on it as a simple Sfw game, but yeah, I couldn't justify production with how little attention it got.

It is true, myself and most others are here because of the art style and content produced are more of pop culture characters. Though I love passion, it is true that KitKnight is more or less scrolling through a feed while looking for pop content. I highly encourage you to follow your passions, but yeah, pop content is more likely to help you grow. Pretty hyped for what the future holds though. Love your honesty as a creator.

As someone who pledged to the Kickstarter and have just now become a subscriber because I love what I've seen of your work, I implore you not to entirely give up on KitKnight as a NSFW project. Good quality lewd combat-platformer games with great production aren't all that common. I love Izara, and the sex scene with her is hot as hell. Would adore seeing more like that. Maybe slow it down, work on your other projects if you like, but I definitely think there's still great potential for KitKnight as a NSFW product.

It is very upsetting that kitknight wasn't picked up the way it deserves to be. Though that's just how it goes for idny developers. I still think it's worth trying again later once the ip is more established. I believe it will make headway someday. Your skills are fantastic more than just for lewd content. Your programming is top notch. Honestly I love the blast back to the side scroller. Its an honorable homage to where gaming began. Just as it marks your beginning. While it is true you had more before this, but this project can have a larger audience due to the fact that it can be adapted to host a more innocent crowd. Your an incredible artist and a phenomenal programmer. I wish I could help you with you projects. I know we do in small ways, giving you support and feedback. I will be here as most watching and ready to when you need fam.

Sorry Kitknight didn't workout as you'd hope. Sorry I'm not too good with words, but it would have been better than the hollow cash grab of todays AAA games.

hi, I'm a bit late to comment but i want you to know i agree with your decision to take kitknight in for the time being. I didn't want to be negative whilst you were working on it but it held no interest for me. I respect we're all different, so just to speak for myself, I'm here for human on pony action. (i also like human on furry but secondarily). if Tales from Lewdyville contains human on pony i will continue to support you. you are like a chef making meals for everyone, we all have our preferences, but they're all delicious.

ngl i was hoping for more kitknight, first boss fight was fun and the scene following shortly after was definitely played well for her character

I`m pretty late as always but I just wanted to write you something concerning the KitKnight Game. I loved the Artstyle and animations, especially the ones of the cute Hyenas and Merigold, the music was also very lovely. Sadly for me the gameplay itself was a bit too frustrating and fumbly but I have never been good at these kind of games . :D I must admit that i joined your Patreon for the naughty pony stuff (especially MatchMakers Inc) and before joining your account i found the mini games in MatchMakers a bit like a Boner Killer ^^ They were well made and funny but for me it somewhat killed the erotic atmosphere from before. Anyway I´m glad that i joined your Patreon, I love all your content and I think you should keep on working on KitKnight like you mentioned because it means so much to you :)
