So friends, it's time to share with you my plans for the October release and also open slightly the details of the new project which I mentioned earlier.
What will be in 0.8.4?
As always - bug fixing.
I am grateful for your comments and bug reports that you left me, without them I would not have found all the problems that existed in the game. The product is really huge, and I just can’t track everything by myself. I couldn't have done it without you.
Werewolves
In this release, I want to complete a quest related to werewolves in Devenant. Also, I will rework and return the event with the guardians of Devenant town.
Animations after defeat
I will also work on scenes after defeat. I remember that many of you said that the quality of animations in the game varies greatly (because I made some of them a year ago), so I want to bring them all to a single quality standard.
Small events
I’ve received your comments and suggestions about adding content to the game and I try to implement one or two selected features in the game for each release, so don’t hesitate to ask me in the comments about it.
New project: Alone among monsters
I told that I was working on a new project and I hope to give you a demo soon. Of course you ask me, Oh c'mon Viktor, when will you plan to do two projects? But I think that my current type of activity is a small business, and as any business it should grow and scale. Also, one of the players asked me: God damn you don't really run out of fetishes, do you? And my answer, of course not, I’ve just started) And I need something that I can switch to and refresh my vision of the current project and the new one.
What will the new project be about?
We play for an ordinary girl who came to visit her sister in the city. Her sister is missing and we must find her.
The Place
A modern city where people and monsters live side by side with each other (something like Ugly Americans show). I want this world to be dark and noir. This setting completely frees me from any restrictions in the narrative. I think you noticed that in my stories you could find a lot of farce and weirdness, but I consider this is my personal feature - distinguishing the project from the rest.
Game mechanics
It will be a life simulator with quest elements. Most of the time the character will grind earn money and perform repeated quests, simultaneously opening plot events that will lead us along the storyline.
Visuals
Since the beginning of TLB development the Unity has been updated a few times and I want to use new graphic features that appear in the engine during this time.
When can we play it?
I do not want to name the deadlines now, because TLB is my main project and I don't want to delay it because of the new one. Plus, I don’t want to release a raw demo that may disappoint you. So I hope soon.
