Miss Trinidad is being played by model actress Beverly Johnson. She was the first African American on the cover of vogue in 1974. One of the first African American super models. She has an enormous amount of respect with the AA gen-xers. *sidenote* She is also one of the more famous people drugged by Bill Cosby. Boys of all ages had a crush on Beverly Johnson, many of us girls did too. Lol it was only her and Jayne Kennedy that we had in that field at the time and everyone just thought they were so beautiful. This is one of the things I loved about Martin, he put AA culture in the mainstream. These were jokes that were from our perspectives about our neighborhoods with our people. Not drugs, not gangs, not poverty, just everyday AA middle class life. Of course, Everyone can enjoy it, but it was made for us. Martin Lawrence and I are from the same area. He is a bit older than me. I just tell you this to let you know we were laughing even harder on his home town because, we all knew a sheneneh. 😆
