It's boxing day here and I thought I'd post instead of cleaning up the house a bit. Hope you all are having, have had a great Christmas/Holidays. I scored a good mix of useful grown up stuff as well as some silly shit, both of which I love.
This week I rewrote player control to try to fix some stuff that was a little bit broken and instead just found other bits that were broken. So I ripped out a bunch of stuff to get back to the basics. At which point I realized I didn't actually want to add them back in.
So here are the new slimmed-down controls which frankly feel nicer. I scaled Kit down by 10% and sped up her movement. I totally reanimated her run to match the 3D game as well. I even added in a double jump.
I still need to do a bit more with the drone AI so they're a bit more interesting to fight. Also, I should probably do some more with the playfield since Kit can move around a lot faster.
