After another weekend of adding in elements as I felt like it, then  breaking things and trying to rebuild the code neater... this is where  I'm at. I was hesitant to post this because a lot of people just don't  understand how games get put together.

It's never a straight progression  and a lot of the time it's 2 steps forward and one step back. That's  especially true when your throwing things together like a leftover  dinner like I am for this:)  It's the same way a painting looks like crap for much of the time you're  working on it, except more so. It'll be fun to look back at these  points in time when/if the thing gets done.

Here's some of the stuff I've added that I can remember.

  • Temp blade attacks
  • Enemies getting hit
  • Kit getting hit
  • Health refills
  • Blade skins
  • Completely reworked Kit's controls to make them smoother
  • The parallax background and a rough idea for the playfield so it's not  all tiles
  • Crinkly ground with shadows that follow the ground (roughly)

Probably also a bunch of other bits.
