So my nice break draws to a close today. Tomorrow is back to "work" drawing TY comics and making game art . It was nice to get time to sit down and learn stuff (in between cleaning up around the house and getting to hang out with family that I haven't seen in 2 years.) Spent a bit of time just getting more comfortable with Blender. It does pretty much everything I'd need to use in making comics. So I stater making props and background pieces for some locations that appear a lot in the stories. I don't know if I'm going to finish them off so I can use them as final renders or just do nice guides for perspective (that was my initial plan).

So here's a few of the bits I've been working on.

Need to get back to making the website finished for the 22 of Feb. Less fun that 3D stuff but needs to be done. Luckily I have 20 weeks worth of comic done in the first story so that's a nice buffer.

Nice to hear you're using Blender for this. I'm not a big fan of drawn characters on top of clearly rendered backgrounds, but I don't dislike this kind of art either. If Masamune Shirow did it, it can't be wrong, right?

So far I've just been using them for basic perspective reference to trace over. Later when I get them looking more like my line art I might just drop them in as renders. But that's probably not happening for a while.
