** Warning*** If you're not good with vet talk then you might want to skip this post. TL;DR - busy with nursing a dog who is doing ok but needs supervision so might not get much art done.

Apologies in advance if I don't post anything this week. I will try to but Mickey had some surgery yesterday and I've been keeping a close eye on him. That said he seems to be doing fine. He had an extra dewclaw removed from one of his back legs. That's got a stitch, I took the bandage off it today as instructed and it's looking just fine. Scabbing over nicely and no ooze. He's in a cone but he's really trying to get at it so I have to keep a constant eye on him.

He also had his de-sexing. Which normally would be a non event but one of his testicles was AWOL so they had to look around in his abdomen for it. Luckily it wasn't too deep. They had to do that because it can cause huge problems later on when he gets old if they left it. The vet gave it to me in a jar in case we wanted to get it test at some point later. It's pretty grody. I'm assuming Mickey is pretty sore even with the painkillers he's on because he can get very aggressive if you touch him in the wrong spot. If he didn't have the cone on I'm pretty sure I'd be getting another hand stitched up in hospital. Luckily he calms down very quickly but it's a little scary and I'm being very careful around him.

So yeah a week or so of this to go until the poor little fella is back to normal again.
