You big cheat Doctor Jones! (Patreon)

I really hate perspective so when

ever I can get away with it I cheat my arse off. I spent the better

part of today inking this spaceship shot . It’s a large portion of the

page so I figure it was ok to spend that much time on it even though

only a dozen or so people are ever going to see it.

Previously

I’d built a rough model of the ship to block in the big shapes. I

layered a simple checkerboard to give me some more lines. As you may

notice most of it is just cubic mapped because I’m lazy.

Then I took the render and dropped it onto the page in Photoshop and added in the details.

Today

I loaded the page into Manga studio because it has a really great

perpective ruler tool that makes inking technical stuff a LOT easier.

Then it was just a matter of slogging through adding in all the detail

in nice clean lines. Well minus a few breaks to run around Victorian

London in Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate.

Tonight I get to color the damn thing. Wooow!
