This morning I had a little play around with 2D surface collisions and ray casting. The hand is a mouse pointer that rotates to touch the surface of any orange box it collides with. clicking on a a box while the hand is on it will shoot out the green line from Nancy to the collision point on the side of the box.

It's about a dozen events and most of those are to make it spin and point :) I got carried away with the way it felt when the pointer normalized to the edge. It feels surprisingly like you are actually touching the box. 

Now that I have this straight in my head I might spend the rest of the day messing around with some sort of grappling hook mechanic.

Also - yes I know that last year I was gung-ho on MOBI but I ran into some issues that were way beyond my skill level and that put a damper on my enthusiasm. Followed by the TY Kickstarter sucking up my energy as well as poor Skiffy. Luckily Mickey has grown nicely into his role as production manager and chief biter of things so I've got a bit of my mojo back this year,
