With King Robb's massive army poised to strike, Lady Melisandre tries to convince Stannis to offer a sacrifice to the Lord of Light. But how far will Stannis go to hold onto his throne?


Sacrifice Shireen

Melisandre insists that there could be no more powerful sacrifice than the Princess Shireen. As a father, Stannis wants nothing less than to harm his daughter. But his duty as king comes before his duty as a father. He will harden his heart and do his duty, for the good of the realm.


Sacrifice Selyse

Queen Selyse is a fervent believer in the Lord of Light, and in the red priestess at his side. If her queen's blood will serve the Lord of Light and aid him in victory over his foes, Selyse will offer herself to the flames willingly.


Sacrifice no one

The Red Woman may say what she likes; Stannis will not offer his wife or daughter to the flames. The throne is his by rights, and he has brought the Red God to King's Landing. If that is not enough to appease R'hllor, Stannis will hold the throne and defeat Robb Stark through his own will.

I wasn't really sure what else to offer as a poll question this time, since the bulk of this chapter was pretty much set up last month. My feeling is that smut probably won't fit into this chapter, but we'll see.

Was hoping I'd get through all of this chapter today, but this was one of those days where I just couldn't get locked in at all, so I really only got the first scene done. Back at it tomorrow.
