Captain’s log, stardate 5144.3.  Our survey mission of this uncharted sector continues.  The ship is performing their duties well, even with so many new additions to the crew.  But with four months since our last shore leave tensions are beginning to rise.  In a few days I intend to pause operations and take us to the nearest starbase for some much-needed R&R.  Everyone is maintaining their professionalism so far— but if we don’t blow off some steam soon, there’s no telling how long it might be until the claws come out.
