Cana being Gildarts’ daughter is one of the biggest wtf moments for me lol. They actually foreshadowed it a lot too. In episodes 74 (when they mentioned Gildarts being on a job for the last three years and then it cut to Cana looking upset), 76 (there was a flashback where Gray asked Cana if she was going to watch Gildarts fight with everyone, but she just said she’d stay inside), and 96 (when Makarov welcomed back Lisanna and started talking about how every parent worries about their children it panned over to Gildarts and Cana).
