The Clash between Monsters

With my speed I reached Sakura within 15 minutes after I started tree hopping. As I expected even after becoming a very good healer, her practicality is still null. Useless as ever she was just wondering around aimlessly.
I was in a hurry, but I knew that Orochimaru must have already finished her dirty deeds with Sasuke. But there was still hope that I would be able to reach there in time.

So he was here to claim his revenge by killing me.
Thankfully the third Hokage along with two of his Anbu intervened.
Because it was out of our own control, the third Hokage allowed our team to continue the exam. That's why I am in a hurry. " I explain to Sakura.
"A grudge that old... Wait ! What do you mean by 'that's why I am in a hurry' ?"

After listening to my tale, her smile widened.
"You are more interesting than I previously thought. It's a shame that I have no time for you now. For now you should take care of your teammate Naruto Chan.
We will meet again." Orochimaru said in a smooth voice.
"Although I am not interested in women in general, for a beauty like you I might make an exception." I commented back.
She didn't react to my comment instead she laughed and sank into the ground.

I finally sighed in relief as I felt Orochimaru's presence going outside my sensing range.
I immediately went towards Sasuke and Sakura.
"How is he ?" I asked Sakura.
"He is unconscious but stable. I have healed most of his wounds. But there is this weird seal on his shoulder."
Sakura showed me the seal on Sasuke's neck.
I knew from the beginning that it was a cursed seal. But I pretended to check on it and replied after a few seconds.
"This is a cursed seal. But it is very unstable now. I am no master in sealings. I can only seal it after it stabilizes." I told Sakura.
"Can't you do anything ?"
"No, cursed seals are usually bad news. And I am just a newb in fuinjutsu. These kind of work requires high level mastery. I don't think even Kakashi sensei or the third Hokage can do anything about this seal right now. So our best option is to complete the test as first as we can so that we can help Sasuke."
After listening to my explanation, Sakura agreed.

After that we searched for the flag with the clues we each had.
It wasn't that hard to reach the place where the flag was. But our main problem was there were two other teams in front of us. One team wasn't a problem as it was a team of canon fodders from the hidden rain village.
But the main problem was the other team, the only team that came from the hidden sand village.

I didn't want to fight Gara this early. But I didn't want to look for another flag either.
So finally I decided to fight Gara.
As I saw the wave of sand coming towards us, I covered both Sakura and Sasuke with my chakra chains. And immediately slashed towards the trio of siblings taking out my dagger.
The slash was powered with my severance and cut through his sand like butter.
Thankfully Temari noticed it and jumped away forcefully taking Gara with her. Kankuro followed behind. The slash was comparatively slow. It was just a warning from me.
But that was enough to frighten Temari and Kankuro. While Gara had a maniac expression on his face.
I created a dozen of clones to distract them while I myself reached for the flag. I thought that this would be a very difficult fight considering all three of them were atleast chunin level. Not to mention Gara is a very unstable Jinjuriki. But my objective was the flag.
While Gara's objective was to kill me. And his siblings objective was to stop him from rampaging.
So I got the flag easily. Iclanced at the flag and knew that it was a reverse summoning seal.
So taking Sasuke and Sakura with me I activated the seal.
While my anticipated clash with a Titan didn't happen I was happy that I didn't have to do a lot of work for nothing.
