Who gets a better deal in a murder charge? Women Or Men? (Patreon)

It was in the comments section of my most recent 2 minute murder that highlighted the murder of  Ryan Watson.  Alice Wood, 23, had denied murdering Ryan Watson, aged 24, near their home in Rode Heath, Cheshire.

She drove at Mr Watson three times before he was dragged for up to 160m (525ft) underneath the car, after he "clicked" with another woman.

Alice Watson would later claim in her defence that she had been in an abusive relationship that finally caused her to snap although friends and family say they never saw any sign of this.

And after a trial at Chester Crown Court, the jury found her unanimously guilty.

In a statement read to the court, Mr Watson's family said they had finally got justice for their "beloved son".

Wood had denied murder and an alternative count of manslaughter, claiming Mr Watson's death had been a "tragic accident".

Alice Wood was found guilty and will be sentenced January 31 this year.

This brought up a conversation with one of my patrons about them believing Woman generally got the shitty end of the stick when it came to murder trials. Which made me wonder is there a male , female divide on this view point?
