Lil' Yoshio, Serial Killer,or Kiyoshi Ōkubo is probably one of Japan's more infamous serial killers, if only because of the shear volume and brutality of his crimes.   Ōkubo struggled to fit in as a child and was often bullied. His mother loved him obsessively , and was unwilling to enforce any discipline. His personality was a target for bullies throughout his childhood and as a teen, which caused him to spend most of his time alone. He did not participate in extracurricular activities and didn’t apply himself to school. His oddness is well documented, at age 12 he strangled the neighbours cat then tried to bring it back to life by masturbating on it believing his seaman had resurrecting qualities.   Many who met Kiyoshi described him as “unusually mature” for his age . He was scolded often for arguing back with elders and making rude remarks to his female classmates. As a teen he rapped a 7 year old at his school. His family, lacking the discipline they needed to show, joking called him “lil’ Yoshio” (After an infamous Japanese serial killer.)  After getting out of school he got a high paid job as an accountant (family connections) and got married but his  marriage wasn't enough for him as his hunger for sexual dominance grew a sadistic side of him was starting to out. On December 23, 1966, two days before Christmas, he raped a 13 year old girl and got away with it. His success encouraged him and for almost 2 years he went on a rape spree before one of his young victims spotted him in a movie theatre and pointed him out to her parents who called the police and he to prison for almost 4 years. Not being released until 1971.   Two days after being from prison, Okubo decided that rape just wasn’t enough to subside his evil urges and rage against the authorities. He was quoted as saying “"I became the brute that I am because of the police. During their investigation of the previous two cases in which I was involved, they treated me very badly. Their punishment was dealt out in a way that completely destroyed my humanity. It made me rebel against authority." He began to lure women, rape, beat and torture  them, and then murder them and in a 6 week time frame he murdered 8 teenage girls in the most brutal of fashion, it was only his lackadaisical attitude towards disposing bodies and covering his tracks that ended his killing spree so soon.   CLASSIFICATION: Serial Killer
