This is probably a bit of a stretch, but I kind of think that midoriya and bakugo were somewhat inspired by Tsukki and yamaguchi from haikyuu. Just off design alone, they share similar traits to their haikyuu counterparts. Deku’s got dark, green-ish hair like yamaguchi does, and they both have freckles. And Tsukki and bakugo are both blonde with somewhat spiky hair. It’s also the way they interact with each other; yamaguchi and midoriya are always looking up at Tsukki and bakugo for being "so cool" and admiring them for their talents (Tsukki’s height, bakugo’s quirk and other talents), and in both situations they’ve known each other since early childhood. Then there’s Tsukki always telling yamaguchi to shut up. But in haikyuu, it’s mostly played for a joke and in mha, it’s genuine animosity. I do think there’s some naruto/sasuke in there ("talented" vs "untalented", "talented" one being insecure about "untalented" improving a lot), but I think in a lot of ways, Tsukki and yamaguchi had a big impact on the creation of these characters

I can't have this nickname and not say anything... I'm guessing Rise is talking about Typhlosion that Bakugo's costume reminds him of.

Katsuki BakuGOAT

Hopefully all of you read this, but Bakugo isnt just bad or evil. Hes a kid that has been told his entire life he's better than everyone around him. It caused him to have a major complex problem. And as far as he knows, deku never had a quirk, so he feels tricked. He also feels inferior because of adults always telling him he's better than other people around him and performing better than his peers, so now that he's been put into this world where he suddenly not the most talented of his peers it's causing his skewed perception of reality to be called into question. No doubt he's very intelligent and highly talented with high battle IQ. He's really good at reading other people's emotional state and battle skills but his own emotions are a bit volatile sometimes and his social skills are severely lacking. Hes just a kid with issues but his character development will start to shine. Just don't let his problems cause you to permanently see him in a negative light. Remember he's just a kid with issues and a skewed perception of reality that has to improve on those things. He wears a mask preventing people from really understanding him but at his core he's a hero hes just not great at expressing his own emotions. He's a highly complex character and there's much more to him than meets the eye. There a reason he's consecutively the most popular characters in polls.

Bakugo has a very interesting archetype, we definitely don't judge too early. So far he has this demeanor but who knows what he can become. Excited to see what transpires.
