Hey Guys!!!!!!!

Today we are going to talk about our John Deere Air Seeder that is about to arrive!

As everyone should know, there will be 2 mods:

- John Deere 1870 Air Hoe Drill 76-ft

- John Deere C850 Air Cart

- Progress:

That whole list of things that still needed to be done was cleared, but of course, until the official release we will continue to work to improve the final experience, just like with the 4940.

- Beta:

Adjustments to the final mod are constant, but without an open beta with many people playing it is almost impossible to refine a mod to a AAA + standard. So, we are very convinced that the tests should start in the next few days, maybe 1 or 2 weeks.

- Send to ModHub:

We hope to send the initial release to Giants later this week. As we do with other mods, Giants' first feedback is very important, because it can have very big things wrong "hidden", so we prefer to have Giants first position.

- What can we expect from news with this mod:

All progress with the mod has been counted here for you. But if you missed something (or I forgot to let you know lol), I will remember the main features and news of the mod.

We started with the ingame of 1870 - It was made in the same molds as Air Drills from the Bourgault DLC. It has "invisible" components that create the animations. Basically, the model inside the Giants Editor doesn't move. The movement happens in the components or joints that the model is addressed. This will probably be the first mod to adopt this type of animation.

Another big news is in the hoses! Yes, you must imagine how difficult it was to make these thousands of hoses and it really was! But we also did something different - We have no more sections! The hoses are joined. That's right, it also works with joints. Much simpler when exporting and positioning within the Giants Editor.

Textures are the key point of these mods: After the model, textures are the second most important thing in a mod. So, here we also bring innovations! All textures have a Specular map (with Occlusion Environment, dirt and wear layer) and a Normal type map. 99% of modders do not make a normal map and this makes an absurd difference in a 3D model. Why? we can create details (like the ones on the screws) without actually having to model the screw, just drawing on the textures. But of course, this requires a technique and time to be done, but the results come in an expressive way, with a much more beautiful model, with details and mainly - LIGHT! This results in a low polygon count even with extremely detailed mods.

Tires!!! As is routine here at Custom Modding, we make custom tires for each new mod released. It didn’t make any sense to use Giants tires, so we made our own, extremely realistic. We will introduce a new brand: Titan Tires and of course, the renowned Firestones, in two different versions on the C850.

In addition to all this, we have several other things that will be the result of small updates: As a complete support for the Pattison, Amonia tank and of course, the C850 tracks. So, after launch, we will still have many things to complement our John Deere Air Seeder pack, not leaving you with a dull mod in the future.

It was hard work, several months, but it was only possible thanks to your support. I am grateful that everyone has supported us for so long, thank you Custom Modding family!

...And if you have any questions, please leave them in the comments, we will be happy to answer.
